One month later

The sun was bright, shining into the rocks beneath her feet. The water sparkling, a shimmer of a rainbow as it fell off the edge into the pond below.

Everything was so calm, so bright and happy. The opposite of what she felt inside.

The branches rustled behind her, boots clicking in the stone, nearing her.

"Did you bring what I asked?" She spoke, her voice broken like she was on the verge of tears. She was.

A red head handed her a brown folder, pushing up her sunglasses as she looked around, admiring the view.

She tucked her hands in her pockets, sweat running of her head from the Hawaiian sun.

"He doesn't suspect anything" The red head spoke.

"How is he?" She asked, pulling her base ball cap further over her face. Her eyes circled red with nights of crying herself to sleep, hidden by the dark glasses on her nose.

"Distraught, angry" The red head answered "I wanna tell you he'll get over it, but I don't think he will."

"He has no choice" She sniffled, wipping the tear that escaped her eyes "If not now, later."

"You did what you had to do" She assured her.

It fell silent, the only noise being the crashing of the waterfall in front of them. She took a deep breath, lifting her chin. You did what you had to do. She would stand by these words for as long as she had to.

"Thank you, Natasha" She looked to her, a forced smile displayed on her lips.

"Anything for a friend" Natasha nodded, her eyes lingering down "What are you gonna call it?"

She placed her hand on her stomach, the small bump barely seen by her clothes. "I'm not sure yet" She answered, a real smile on her lips this time, happiness filling her chest.

Natasha hugged her friend, holding her as tight as she could. Both of them crying now. "I'm gonna miss you, Nat" She spoke, chocking on her words.

"I'm gonna miss you to" Natasha pulled away, resting her head against hers.

They stayed there for a moment, enjoying each other's presence for as long as they could before it would be ripped away.

"Stay safe" Natasha began to walk away "If you need anything you know who to call. Lexi is the brains behind all this after all."

"I owe you and her my life" She chuckled "Natasha" Her voice grew weary "Make sure he doesn't do anything dumb for me, will ya."

"Will do" Natasha nodded, waving her farewell.

"Good luck, Clementine."

The End.
