The New Morning

"She's been gone for four days, Wanda, what if something has happened" Pietro asked his sister, worried.

The Avengers were gathered in the living room. Pietro and Wanda were standing in the kitchen across the room talking.

"I don't know why your so worried she's been on longer missions before" Wanda replied? dipping her finger into the pancake batter sucking it off.

"It's different this time" He replied softly, leaning against the counter.

"Why because she kissed you" Wanda said bluntly, tilting her head to the side, Pietro let out a sigh, looking down at the floor.

"She's not the same girl we knew two years ago Pete" Wanda shook her head "Not after what happened to Nate."

"Who's Nate" Tony asked, walking over to the twins. They both looked up to him with there mouths agape trying to find words .

Nobody" Pietro replied, crossing his arms and shaking his head "Hey have you heard anything from Scout" Pietro asked Tony, changing the subject quickly.

And as if on cue Clementine walked into the room with Steve following behind her.

Clementine's POV

The blurred scenario replayed threw my eyes, The sight of Lexi gripping onto my hand like her life depended on it, Well.. My life.

The sharp pain ripping threw the skin of my waist as i let out a loud painfilled gasp, Our fingers once intertwined were now reaching out for each other in the hope of touching.

"NO! SCOUT!" Lexi's muffled voice begged. The sound of my body colliding with the roof of the car, broken glass soared threw the air as i looked up at the dazed sight of the helicopter above.

I gasped, sitting up, I looked around seeing my messy room around me, I was dreaming. I glanced behind me to the bedside table to look at the alarm clock which showed 10:00 am. I groaned, crawling off the bed into the grey tiled bathroom.

I reached into the shower turning on the taps as the water above came crashing down, I ran my hand under the shower, feeling the warm water.

I stepped back removing my clothes. I removed the white bandage around my waist seeing the stitched up wound which had already started to heal.

Stepping under the warm water i tilted my head back allowing the water to run down my chest, I let out a breath of relief feeling more relaxed finally being back home.

Although i love going on missions, being home allows me to let my guard down slightly and mellow from the stress of constantly being on edge in the field.

I slipped a grey jumper over my black leggings, The jumper slumped off one of my shoulders. I walked over to my mirror quickly pulling my brunette hair into a messy bun.

I picked up the cherry flavoured lip bam that was placed on the desk running it along my lips, I rubbed my lips together looking at myself in the reflection. I threw the bam down walking out of my room.

I reached the elevator pressing the button "Welcome back" A male voice appeared behind me. I glanced around seeing Steve walk up and stand beside me.
