My hand was around her waist, her hand on my shoulder while the other held my hand.

We slowly stepped along to the music, she rested her head on my chest.

I loved having her so close to me, I wanted to stay like this forever. Me and her dancing like nothing else mattered.

But we have a job to do. "Doll" I kissed her head.

"Mhm" She hummed with a smile.

"You need to focus" I whispered.

"I know" She sighed "But your comfy."

I chuckled, pressing another kiss to her head. I glanced around the room, Steve was hiding in the corner while Natasha was at the bar.

Me and Clementine weren't meant to be standing with each other In case anyone noticed us but she refused to leave my side.

It's like she was scared. And I understood why. She's scared that Gwen will get to me, she doesn't want to loose me, I don't want her to loose me.

"Clem" I gulped, my stomach hollowing with anxiety.

"What's wrong?" She looked up to me, probably hearing how fast my heart was beating.

"I want to give you your birthday present early" I said. I removed my hand form hers, reaching into my pocket.

"Bucky..." She took in a deep breath, looking at what was in my hand.

The silver ring with a diamond on top. "Doll, I love you with all my heart" I put my hand on her cheek "And whatever happens tonight, if Gwen—" I paused "I don't want to die without being able to call you mine."

Her mouth was hanging open. I could practically hear her heartbeat from here. "Clementine, will you marry me?"

"Bucky I—" Her words were cut short when she saw something behind me, her face dropping "Kaden's here."

I quickly turned around, just catching the back of his head as he walked out the door. Before I could react Clementine ran after him.

"Clem!" I whisper-yelled, chasing after her.

We got into the hallway but he wasn't there, she looked back and forth, panic on her face. "Damit!" She groaned.

"We'll find him" I told her, I pressed the comb in on my ear, speaking to Natasha and Steve "We saw Kaden, he's somewhere in the building."

"Roger than" Steve replied "Where are you guys?"

"Just out the doors in the corridor" I replied. I looked down to Clementine who was starring down the hallway, looking back and forth. "He won't get away."

"That's not what I'm worried about" She looked up to me, looking deep into my eyes.

We heard footsteps running down the hall, when we looked over Steve and Nat were jogging towards us. "Where did he go?" Nat asked.
