A/N - If you haven't read the last chapter, GO AND DO THAT FIRST..!!
Okay, now you can proceed.
___________________"I- yeah I... know that we're soulmates", Kuroo replied to the cute head tilt.
Kenma kept staring at Kuroo. Soon, his eyes started pooling at the end. Kuroo acted within a heartbeat and hugged the other boy tightly. Kenma's hands hung loosely at the side for a few seconds, but then he hugged him back. "Roo~"
Kuroo safely held Kenma to himself and made sure he knew how much he meant to him. "I fell for you even before seeing you Kenma", he said. "You don't know how much happiness your messages used to bring me. If you ever talk to Kageyama, ask him how much I used to talk about you. And the way you sometimes used to make a random star and ice cream doodles, you were, are, and will be my serotonin, Kit-Kat". Kuroo leaned back and gave Kenma another kiss on his cheek. Tears still running down.
Kenma buried his face into Kuroo's chest again, "thanks Roo, thank you so much", he cried. Kuroo's hoodie wiped his tears away. "Remember I once told you that you made a good friend?", he asked. Kuroo nodded. "Well, I guess you make an okayish partner too", Kenma hugged Kuroo a little bit tighter. "Thanks for bearing with my break-up phase and extreme mood swings
"I can't be more grateful to Daichi-san for pushing me to write in my diary that day. Kuroo, I'm not gonna lie, I didn't like you at first. Little did I know I had something so better in store", he let out a little laugh. "I can't point out the exact time when I finally moved on, but I can tell you that you were a huge help. Thanks again
"I never thought I'd feel this way for someone again... not until I met you at least. And the fact that the first time we met wasn't on that random morning, but 6 months back in the diary", Kenma looked at him and smiled, "that gives me comfort"
"I can't believe I'd get to see that smile every day for my whole life", Kuroo said.
"But we live around 6 hours away from each other, how do you think that'd work out?", Kenma asked.
"Well then, I can't wait to see that smile every time we have a match and on frequent video calls... and then maybe we can stay closer after graduation?" Kuroo ruffled his pudding hair. Kenma gave a happy nod.
Kuroo and Kenma had talked to each other for almost 6 months through the diary, and that's the reason things were easier for them. They knew each other's behavior, likes and dislikes, habits, and everything else that could be known without seeing or hearing each other.
"To fall for someone without even knowing how they look, only to realize that I've been paired with the most beautiful boy in the world," Kuroo sighed, "I guess my whole life's luck has been spent in achieving this"
Kenma looked at him and smiled again. "Also, now that I think about it... I did give you a perfect nickname. ✨Roo, the Rooster✨", he laughed, and Kuroo laughed with him.
"We still have half of the day left, what do you wanna do?", Kuroo asked him.
"Uhm, pick out a movie... nothing scary please"
Kuroo was more than happy to pick a movie. He connected his phone to the television they had in their room and played "Space Between Us" on Netflix. In the meanwhile, Kenma set up the couch with cozy blankets and bought two hot cocoas. They snuggled together and played the movie.
(A/N - Again, I know that movie is way out of the timeline... BUT JUST ROLL WITH IT..!!)
A little timeskip~
After almost halfway into the movie, Kuroo paused it and turned towards Kenma.
"HEY!! WHY DID YOU PAUSE IT??!!", Kenma made an annoyed face. Kuroo smirked at how cute he looked when he tried to be angry.
"I'll resume it... but first tell me one thing"
Kenma kept staring in response.
"So uh... is this... like a date?", Kuroo asked. Kema was suddenly very grateful that the lights were turned off. But Kuroo could still see that slight blush on his cheeks, even in the faint light of the TV.
"I mean, do you want it to be a date?", Kenma said shyly.
"I- yeah. Of course, I do"
"Then let's call it a date... our first date~", Kenma said softly.
"Okay, one more thing..!! Please", he asked and Kenma nodded.
"Can I- can I kiss you?" Kuroo asked, and his panic intensified. "As in, not a peck... but like... real deal kiss", he said. Kenma chuckled and then gave an affirmative nod.
Kuroo carefully brushed Kenma's hair falling on his face and admired him for a few seconds. His heart beat faster and faster as he leaned in to get closer. Kenma raised his eyebrows in a question "you gonna do it or not?", and Kuroo caught it.
He smiled at him one more time, and then he kissed him. Softly at first, and then with a swift of passion. Maybe the time had stopped, but the fluttering just intensified. Kenma's fingers slowly clutched onto Kuroo's hair and the back of his neck, pulling him more into himself. Kuroo secured his one hand on the couch, and the other around Kenma's waist.
That lasted for what felt like an eternity before Kuroo slightly pulled away when he got out of the air and laughed at Kenma who was red with embarrassment and "happy anxiety". Before Kenma could realize it, his hands slid into Kuroo's t-shirt, but then stopped. "God, his skin is so soft"
"Seems like someone can't wait~", he smirked.
In a sudden motion, Kenma changed their positions so that now Kuroo was pinned down to the couch and he was sitting on top of him. Kuroo grabbed his collar and pulled him down into another rough hasty kiss. He slid his hands into Kenma's T-shirt and paused to look at him, asking for permission, Kenma nodded.
Kuroo slid his hands deeper and removed Kenma's T-shirt and his' too. He ran his hands on his back and secured a good grip on his waist, and pulled him in.
"Your hands are too soft for a volleyball player~", Kenma whispered.
