Daichi stood up as the bus started to slow down. With a clap to grab everyone's attention, he announced that their next destination would be Senso-ji temple. This was followed by a few unassuming face drops. "Oh, you all just wait. You don't know the real surprise yet..!!" Daichi smiled to himself.

As the bus halted, everyone deboarded and lined up for instructions. The same old ones. No monkey behavior, stay together, everyone is responsible for their belongings, keep your phones close, blah blah blah.
"Why do I have to be the grumpy captain, and you always get to be the cool one??", Daichi asked Kuroo, a little annoyed at their teammates' yawns as a response to the instructions. Kuroo just laughed in return and said, "it is what it is, captain..!!".
There wasn't much to see. Yes, it was a tourist destination but for overenergetic teenage boys, it wasn't of much fun. But still, it was a good place to click photos, so they all ran towards the temple to capture some feed for their Instagram.
After a while of random running around, making Sugawara worry that they'd successfully get lost or break one or two bones, and Nishinoya being out of ideas for any more photography poses, they all found a little park to sit down and rest before they resumed their journey.
They all opened the snacks packets that they bought at the gas station. Daichi was trying hard not to scream, "DON'T LITTER..!!", and Asahi and Sugawara were laughing at his distress. He was trying to be the "cool captain".
"Honey, you don't need to stop following rules to be cool..!!", Sugawara said along with his angelic laughter. "B- but they all love Kuroo more than me..!!", Daichi expressed his grief. He was worried that his teammates would start preferring Kuroo more than him..!!
Asahi laughed out and said, "that's never gonna happen..!! After all, even they know that you do everything for their best".
"Okay, why don't you ask them yourself?", Sugawara said through a sigh. Daichi looked back at him with sad eyes. Suga knew that he was very worried, but he couldn't help but laugh at how Daichi could even think that way..!!
Sugawara stood up and looked over everyone.
Tanaka was expressing his sorrow about Kiyoko heading back home to Yamamoto for the millionth time. Nishinoya had just come up to Asahi, trying to convince him to wrap him in his jacket. Ennoshita, and Kinoshita were being the angels they were, minding their own business, eating cheese puffs and honey buns that they bought.
Tsukishima was trying his level best to find a possible way to give a little peck on Yama's forehead without being noticed. Hinata fell down while chasing a butterfly and now was looking around to see if anyone saw that embarrassing moment or not. Kageyama was sitting a little far away in a dilemma if he should go help Hinata or not. And finally, Kenma was sitting under a tree with his back to the trunk, sharing his earphones with Kuroo and eyes close.
"What is it with our setter and Kuroo?", Sugawara thought to himself before calling the Karasunos to gather around. Kenma entrusted his phone in the hands of someone else for the first time in his life and came to join everyone who had already formed a semi-circle around Daichi, Suga, and Asahi.
"What is it Suga-senpai?", Hinata asked.
"I have a question"
Everyone waited curiously for the question, but instead, Sugawara started laughing again.
"Okay, okay okay. Tell me this, if y'all had a choice to change Daichi as a captain, would you?"
There was a big "noooooooooo" in unison. This was followed by some "why would you even ask that?" and "Daichi-san is the best..!!".
"See sweetie, I TOLD YOU..!!", Suga said, "you were worried for nothing. They'd never swap you for anyone..!!"
"Yeah but the fact that Kuroo is cooler than me doesn't change..!!", Daichi said. This was the first time they ever saw him being a big baby.
"Kuroo-san is cool, but not cooler...", Tsuki said. Everyone's heads turned towards him. He was the guy who would prefer being left out in a conversation. So a remark coming from his was really surprising.
Sugawara looked at Daichi and said, "oh my god, we got Tsukishima's validation..!! What else do you need babe??". To this, Daichi couldn't help but laugh, and he thanked everyone for the approval.
With a, "not that you need any..!!", everyone went back to whatever they were doing. But Hinata had lost that butterfly.
Asahi saw Kenma coming towards them after around 5 minutes and poked Daichi, who in turn poked Suga. It wasn't usual of him to approach people.
Kenma slowly made his way to their captain, still very uncomfortable with what he was about to do, and stood in front of him with his hands at his back.
"I- uhmm, Daichi-san... I-", he brought his hands forwards and gave Daichi a snicker bar. "Uhmm, you're the best captain we can ever have. Kuroo is good too, but... not better than you... also, he told me that giving someone something you like is a good way of encouraging, so here's my chocolate bar"
Without even waiting for a reply, and drowned in embarrassment, Kenma ran back to the tree he was sitting at. Daichi's eyes pooled with tears as he looked back at Sugawara and Asahi. Suga gave him a tight hug and said, "these kids love you". And it was true.
Just as the afternoon was about to end, the bus was back at the gate to pick them for their next stop.
"Kuroo-san, are we going to another hotel??", Fukunaga yawned, "I can really use some sleep..!!".
"We won't go to the hotel until the night", Kuroo said a little loudly for everyone to hear. "You'll forget your sleep as soon as we reach our next stop. And you can sleep on the bus if you wanna... haha"

A/N - this chapter is soooo cute aaaaaaaa..!! okay, I'm praising my own work, lol. But whenever I re-read this chapter, it makes me so happy ❤ this is just an extra fluffy chapter... but it still counts, so yeah... I wish I could somehow add Fukurodani too..!!
