~MYSTERY LADY~

I got out of bed feeling light as a feather, I had to tour around Celsibon today. I already have a tour guide assigned to me and she'll come around in about an hour.

Our first stop was the famous iRock Cafe, the best breakfast place in town. I ate breakfast and we proceeded to our next stop.

The tour guide was really nice, her name's Havana, long hair, dark skin, pretty smile and a body to die for. She is attractive but I wasn't even interested in her even with her nice personality and all.

I just sat down quietly on the passenger seat of my car as she drove round town and explained each every turn we took.

Our last stop for the day was the Sambi Desert, not many people are aware but I have a weird liking for deserts.

Even though Havana warned me about this place, I still wanted to take a look at it. We weren't planning on exploring the whole desert, I'm not that stupid.

Just a little drive in will be ok, we made a quick send at a supermarket and got some supplies just in case anything goes wrong.

The desert was hotter than I expected, it felt like like I was standing in front of the sun, my skin felt like it was being baked an oven. I adjusted my cap on my head and put on my sunglasses before hopping down from the vehicle.

Havana kept on telling me to take a turn back but I didn't want to listen, so she stayed behind. I was really fascinated by the whole surrounding, there was few bumps on the sand, I wondered what they could be.

I still continued my journey, I turned back and I could barely see Havana and the vehicle.  I look at the watch on my wrist and it was already 3:45.

"That's a very long distance, I think I should just head back now." I thought to myself before taking a turn back.

I was about to take a step forward when I bumped into something, I tripped and fell on the ground. It did not feel like a stone or caked up sand, it felt like a body.

Curiosity stirred up in me as I got up on my feet, I took a closer look and it was indeed a body, covered in sand.

The question was "is this person dead or alive?"

I used my hand to get much sand off the body as possible. It was a female body,  I placed the tip of index finger and my thumb on her wrist, trying to look for a pulse.

I found it but it was faint, meaning she was still alive.  She needed help as soon as possible. I tried to lift her up but she was too heavy, I dropped on the floor frustrated before noticing the baby bump.

It looked like she was in second trimester of her pregnancy, the only way I could help is if I use the vehicle and it's a little far off, so I decided to make a run for it.

It was hard running on desert sand, it felt like I was sinking but I needed help urgently for that girl and her baby.

"Havana!" I yelled.

I could see her and the vehicle, they were becoming clearer in sight. I was seriously dehydrated, I forgot to take my backpack along with me.

I finally got to the car and collapsed on the ground close to Havana's feet.

"Please, help." I said.

"What do you mean?"

"Girl." "Pregnant." "Covered." "Sand." "Help." I was already out of breath.

She rushed into the car and got me a bottle of water, I gulped on it like my life depended on it.

"I don't understand sir."

"There's a pregnant girl in there, she was...she was covered in sand she need help immediately."

"She's already dead!"

"She's not. I can't lift her so we need to use the car." I said.

"That's not possible, the car will get damaged."

"It's a fucking Ford Jeep, and it's not that far, just get in and drive."

Havana sighed before helping me get into the Jeep, it took twenty minutes before where she was. I picked up my backpack and helped the woman into the Jeep.

A sudden harsh breeze flew past.

"Oh, no!" Havana exclaimed.

"There's a sand storm coming, we need to hurry!" She said.

I got into the vehicle and watched as Havana struggle to get the vehicle on. It was stuck, she tried and tried, the look of fear on her face.

"We're going to die for sure."

"Let me try." I jumped down and the breeze hit me, it was strong.

This storm isn't going to be friendly at all, I got into the driver's seat and tried for a couple of times before it finally came alive.

I drove the vehicle as skillfully as I could, driving fast would be dangerous. I looked back and saw something heading towards us, out seemed far off but I knew what it is.

A freaking sand storm.

Luckily for us, we exited that place before it go to us. I took her to a hospital and asked Havana to look after her before leaving for the hotel.

I had a quick shower and managed to take my Jeep to a mechanic workshop. I took a cab to the hospital and I saw Havana outside the ward, she was still waiting on the doctor.

The doctor came out with a sorry look on his face.

"I'm sorry, they're gone."
