(A/N: IMPORTANT AUTHOR'S NOTE AT THE END OF THE CHAPTER.)
It was about two or three days later, while Moon was training in dragon form with the twins and Arwen, that Gandalf ran into the courtyard. He had an armful of dragon armor and was yelling about dwarves.
"Moon, lets go! They've gone without us! Hurry, hurry!"
Moon roared in laughter and snapped back into her girl form. The armor Gandalf was holding creaked and rearranged to fit her girl form.
"Woah," the four said to the flustered Gandalf.
"Moon, put this on. I've already packed your bag. These dwarves will be the death of me, I swear."
Moon pulled on the shimmering armor and placed all her weapons in their usual places.
"Let us be off!" she said, in a posh accent, transforming into a dragon. Gandalf climbed onto her back and she took flight, roaring her goodbye.

The two had traced the dwarves into a cave, but dared not step in it.
"It's obvious this is a trap. Anyone who has ventured the Misty Mountains knows that this area is basically the Goblin King's font porch," said Moon, rubbing her temples.
"It would appear, that not everyone knows this is the Goblin King's front porch," sighed Gandalf.
"Leave it to them to fall into the only trap for fifty miles, besides the nets," groaned Moon.
They carefully went into the mountain through another, not really safer entrance that the goblins regularly used.
"Gandalf, can't we please just attack now?" Moon asked, her wings rustling in their folded position on her back. Her wings were naturally supposed to be out all the time, but she had wanted to hide from the dwarves.
"What's that smell?" asked the Goblin King.
"A dragon, your malevolence."
"Oh, alright," said the Goblin King. Suddenly, realization dawned on his face. "DRAGON! BEAT THEM! TAKE OF HIS HEAD!"
Moon leapt into the clearing, her wings extending to soften her fall. "Here's the pretty dragon," she hissed, parrying the mace blow, sending the Goblin King over the edge of the clearing.
She flew into the air, throwing the dwarves their swords. As they ran down the long bridges and pathways in the dark, Moon swept around them in the air, using her wing bones to deflect arrows. In the little time she had to train, she had learned much.
The Gobling King landed behind the company, but Moon stood in front of them protectively, hissing. To her they were like her little hatchlings, and she would protect them with her life.
"What are you going to do now, dragon?" taunted the Gobling King.
She roared, taking her elven sword, which Lord Elrond had called Flight, and slicing his belly.
"That'll do it," he said, before she cut through the lump of oozing skin along with his thick, slimy neck. The monstrous creature choked once before collapsing onto the bridge, silent in his death, but just as fat. A cracking sound echoed throughout the cavern, splinters etching themselves into the flimsy woodwork the company was standing on. With one final shudder, they were plunged down into darkness.
Her instincts kicking in, Moon shifted into her fierce dragon form, landing on the tavern floor. The bridge she had been previously standing on crunched onto her back, cushioning the dwarves fall.
