It was only about an hour later before they could pry Moon from the fallen king, and she had run out of tears. She now sniffled and whimpered with no falling tears.

Legolas came forwards, and sat by her side.

"You could only be with him for such a short amount of time, I am sorry."

"There was nothing you could do. There was nothing any of us could do. He died fighting for the right thing," she said, still trying to convince herself.

They sat in silence for a few minutes before Legolas spoke again.

"I am leaving."

"Where is your destination?"

"To meet a Ranger, in the north by the name of Aragorn. From there I do not know, but I wanted to know if you would come with me."

Moon gazed out at the battlefield, littered with the bodies of Orcs, Elves, Dwarves and Men. She sat and thought for a while, in silence, but it was a comforting silence.

"I will go, but I do not wish to be a burden, and we should see Bilbo home, first."

"You will not be, Moon. You are a brave warrior, just a little hurt at the moment. We will take the hobbit home."

"Pray you are right. I will tell everyone goodbye, and we will leave," Moon responded, pain still evident in her tone.

It took several hours for her to gather a few things, say goodbye to all the dwarves(who made her swear to come back and visit), and Bilbo as well.

"You plan to depart to the Shire. Legolas as I would like to come with you."

"I welcome the company!" said Bilbo kindly.

"We are glad you will take us Bilbo," said Legolas, smiling.

"Then we shall be off," said Moon, and Bilbo was slightly disheartened at the sad tone she spoke in, and that her normal aura of peppiness had vanished into thin air.

They waved goodbye to the dwarves, and set off down the path, the sun low in the sky. The dwarves stood and watched until it was dark and they could no longer see their beloved friends.

(A/N: It's over.... excuse me while I go cry.
