I'm Just Fine

After hours of pain, Hongjoong was finally able to move around without hurting. He opened his eyes and looked around to see he was still outside. He then looked over to see the others so Hongjoong sat up and layed his head in Seonghwa's lap.

"Well hello. You feeling ok"? Hongjoong nodded.

"You gonna shift back or no"? Hongjoong shook his head and Seonghwa smiled.

"You can't stay like this forever Joongie".

'I know', Hongjoong thought to himself. Seonghwa's eyes widened and he looked down at Hongjoong in shock. Hongjoong looked up at him confused.

"T-think of something again". 

'Um... Imma kill my parents'? 

"I can hear your thought"! Everyone heard Seonghwa and turned to him.

"Wait what"? Yeosang said, confused.

"When he's shifted, I can hear Joong's thoughts just as clearly as everyone else's". Hongjoong stared at him.

'You can hear my thoughts'?! Seonghwa nodded. Hongjoong lifted his head up and nuzzled into Seonghwa's chest. 

"You wanna shift Joongie"? Hongjoong whined but nodded. 

'I'll head into the room and shift'. Seonghwa nodded as Hongjoong made his way into the house up into his room. It was a bit painful to shift back but he managed and got himself dressed into comfortable clothes before heading back down. When he got outside, he sat down next to Seonghwa and leaned his head against the older's shoulder.

"There's my Joongie", Seonghwa said, causing Hongjoong to giggle. 

"You ok"? Yunho asked. 

"Yeah I'm ok. That felt weird though. But kinda cool at the same time", Hongjoong spoke.

"Yeah the first few times you shift can feel weird". Hongjoong smiled before Mingi walked over and sat down next to him. 

"It's gonna be weird with a hybrid friend", he said. 

"Yeah it is. It's weird. I feel different kinda but it's a good weird". Mingi smiled. They began talking before Hongjoong turned his head to the forest. 

"Joong? What is it"? Hongjoong didn't answer Seonghwa as he kept his eyes on the forest before letting out a low growl. 

"Someone's here", Seonghwa whispered. Hongjoong stood up off the ground, Seonghwa and Mingi doing the same as the rest walked over.

"Woo, did you see anything"? Wooyoung shook his head.

"I heard someone but I didn't see who it was. It's like they're able to keep out of the future or something like that". Yunho and Mingi shifted and stood next to Hongjoong. Seonghwa grabbed Hongjoong's hand. They weren't prepared for what was gonna happen and he just hoped nothing too bad happened to them.
