Truth's out(week 7)

It has been seven weeks . For Seven weeks Lorraine has had to pretend as if nothing is wrong and go on cases,praying that her baby is healthy and safe. She knows that this isn't safe,but she can't bring herself to even mention it let alone say it.

She does a double take in full body mirror, eyes widening as she stares. It seemed like she had grown overnight. Her stomach wasn't just huge and no one could tell but her. But she could tell that her stomach had a small curve to it.

Lorraine's fingers gently traced over her stomach. She can't believe how perfect this baby is already. She dresses in a quite baggy blouse on and head downstairs. A smell coming from downstairs was nauseating her.

Every since she found out about the baby, she had been sensitive to certain smells and food. "Something wrong,darling?" Ed slowly hand her a bowl." No I'm fine. Still not feeling the greatest." I say with the weakest smile.

She can't keep doing this. She doesn't want to hide this from him anymore. "Ed, can I talk to in the office?" Her voice is low and afraid. "Sure. What's been bothering you?r" Lorraine stares blankly,not even noticing Ed talking to me." Lorraine? Did you hear me?" He asks.

"Mhmm" tears well in Lorraine's eyes " What's going on, baby?I want to help you I just need you to tell me how." He holds her face. He just needs her to talk to him.

Lorraine took a deep breath." I know you want to help me,but I'm terrified. How do I know that if I tell you the truth, you'll even accept? I am so tired of lying to you. But, I don't know how to stop. I can't keep doing this to you,Ed." She intwined their  fingers, tears stream down my face."What is it?" He asks." I'm pregnant"her voice is barely audible. "I'm pregnant." Lorraine's voice is a little louder, but still timid

Ed's face lights up with tears in the corner of his eyes." Really?" Lorraine nods, unable to get words out. " Lorraine... how far along are you?" Ed asks, suddenly becoming concerned. "Seven almost eight weeks..." she avoids his eye contact.

" Baby , we have been on cases back to back for weeks. You got thrown against a brick wall on our last one.'Do you know how bad you or the baby could've gotten hurt? I wouldn't know if something happened while I didn't know you were pregnant!"he said sounding stressed out about this newfound life inside of his wife.

" I know, I'm sorry. Just know I have been doing anything in my power to make sure that the baby stays safe. I wouldn't have gave up that case regardless. The baby is safe." I reassured him. I grinned as he placed his hand on my stomach." Just please let me know if anything bothers you, I don't want to see you hurt." His voice is filled with compassion, it makes Lorraine's heart melt.

"I just can't believe it! We're gonna be running wild with another baby!" Lorraine pressed my finger over his lips, shushing him

"Shh Judy doesn't know yet!" Lorraine giggles. "Then when will she know?" He said in a lower tone." When me and you see the baby,which is tomorrow so get ready, papa bear." She teases

" I am so happy for us, lorr." He sways with her, holding her stomach." I am too." I smile. I begin crying hysterically into his arms.

             ____Nighttime____
Lorraine and Ed were sitting in a comfortable silence, attempting to get some sleep. But Ed's insulting thoughts keep him up.  "Lorraine, what if I get mistaken for the baby's grandpa?" He says worriedly. His comment makes her burst out in laughter " And why would that happen? " she asks.

" I'm well over the age that we had Judy. I mean I am starting to get grey hairs! By the time the baby is Judy's age, I will be a full silver old guy." He makes a face in disgust." No you won't. Im basically ancient. I can already see the stares I will get as a woman who is definitely not young anymore walking around with a full size baby bump." She sighs.
