Through The Trial

Chapter 13

Today the day our whole world changes. It's the day that is hope.
"Ames wake up" Jones said.
"Your not mad" I said.
"I could never be mad at you, I love you. You are my life and I will protect you no matter what." He said "last night after we talked I went to see a therapist to talk about what's been happening, she was my therapist from years ago. Her and your dad thinks it's best for her to testify, because he is tring to plead insanity, she is right now talking to him to see if we can not let that happen."
"Ok we have one hour to get ready lets go" I said.
We went done stairs and ate it was great a big breakfast which included biscuits and gray, sausage, bacon, eggs and a nice mocha frappe. When we got done eating Jones said "how long do we have"
"40 minutes."
"Good" he said pulling me into a kiss.
"I will see you in 30 minutes then we leave 5 minutes after that."
I went and got ready I had to look nice but not over do it so i put on a nice light blue blouse and black dress pants and waterproof make-up and my hair up. I got downstairs as soon as dad walked in the door.
"Hey daddy" I said "what's wrong"
"He decided to plead guilty on all accounts the jury is deciding how many years he will be put in prison."

"So no death penalty for what he did, he deserves that" I said slamming the front door. Jones runs out after me.
"I never want to see him again what he did me, what he did to you to your mom to everyone. If I ever have to see him..."
"You won't, we don't as soon as we get out of this town we will never see him again I promise" he said. "I love you and nothing will ever change that."
"Can we just take a trip drive till we run out of space or gas." I said.
"The day after we graduate I promise" he said.
"I don't want to go in not now." I said.
"Then come with me." He said taking my hand and putting me in my car and drove where, I don't but it feels right.
