I sat quietly in the library during my free period. I peacefully flipped through the pages of my book of the week, headphones in. Simply relaxing and listening to wonderful instrumentals while being completely develed in my book.

Until my headphones were ripped from my ears.

"Hi Babes! What are you reading?" Samaria cheekily snatches the book from my hands.

The librarian shushes her, and I can't help but laugh at the look of embarrassment that washes over her face.

"Oops." She whispers.

"Yeah dork, we're in the library. Zero talking." I bring my hand to my mouth and make a zip and lock motion.

Samaria reaches out her hand and I drop the 'key' into her palm.

She laughs.

"Shh!" The librarian reiterates causing Samaria and I to break into a silent fit of laughter.

My stomach starts to ache, so I take in a deep breath.

"Lunch again today, Kat told Jakes parents about you. I think everything's moving along smoothly." Samaria says barely above a whisper.

I grab her hand and pull her towards the exit doors, if we are going to continue this conversation it needs to be somewhere that we can actually talk.

"Sami. Did we not think about the repercussions?" I ask concerned.

"What repercussions?" She asks cluelessly.

"What if his parents decide they want to meet me?"

Her face drops from confusion to concern, now she's on the same wavelength as I am.

"Oh shit." Sami expresses.

"Text Jake and tell him to meet us in the storage closet in hallway B." I state eagerly.

"You got it!"

While Samaria types on her phone I lead her to Hall B. We enter the storage closet and wait impatiently.

I have zero patience.

"What is taking him so damn long?" I ask, annoyance laced in my words.

"It's been like 30 seconds Attie, chill." She replies.

The storage closet in Hall B is rarely used except by students. The janitors never come in here because there's no light fixtures anywhere inside.

That means it's practically a sex closet. Gross, right?

Jake enters, pulling me from my thoughts.

"What's wrong? What happened?" Jake says while visibly freaking out.

"Damn Samaria, what'd you say?" I ask.

"I said 'SOS emergency in Hallway B storage closet!'"

I giggle at her dramatic expression of our current situation and turn to face Jake.

His nervous energy quickly switches back to his normal calm bubbly attitude.

Did I mention how much I like Jake? He's a character for sure.

"Okay, so. I'm just worried about your parents wanting to meet me. I heard about the whole Kat telling everyone thing and got nervous." I say informing Jake of said 'emergency'.

"Oh yeah, um about that. Either we need to break up like tomorrow or you're meeting my parents." He replies.

My heart sinks.
