Caelum and I sat in the trunk of his car waiting for the clock to strike nine.

It's been about a week since the kissing incident.

I told Samaria that night, and she told me that she 'knew something was up'.

When doesn't she know.

Caelums friend Ryan is throwing an end-of-year party in honor of the start to our senior year.

For some reason I'm invited.

I haven't been to an actual party ever. They stress me out. Samaria goes to them all the time. She was invited so I'm glad I'll have her to hang onto if Caelum wanders off.

Aunt Tess said I could stay over at Samarias' tonight, so hopefully things go as planned.

For the past week I've done nothing but work, go to school, hang out with Caelum, and see Samaria.

We grew accustomed to doing everything together. It feels almost weird to be without him sometimes.

It's nearing Valentine's day so the theme is love I guess.

We all know I don't know much about that.

I sat in Caelums well-known trunk in a fitted black mini dress. I have on a pink crop top tee underneath to cover my shoulders. Samaria let me borrow her pink Docs and I paired them with some black frilly socks that have hearts on the mesh portion.

I felt pretty.

"Don't those shoes hurt your feet?" Caelum asks while looking down at my Docs.

"Sometimes, I usually wear bandaids so that I don't get blisters." I reply.

He turns away from me and then falls backwards to rest his head in my lap. My silver chains dangled in his face, almost brushing across his nose.

His kind eyes looked up at me softly causing a sensation of butterflies to move through my entire body.

I smile down at him, he smiles back.

"I love your smile Peach." He states happily.

"Thanks Caelum." I reply back.

I don't really have a cutely picked pet name for him, so I just call him by his name. Sure enough, he has no oblige to it.

I run my ring filled fingers through his dark brown curls. They wrap slowly around my fingers and then fall out as I continue to move them through his hair.

He grabs his phone from his pocket.

"Ryan just texted me, he said we can come whenever." He states looking up at me.

"Okay, we can go when you're ready." I reply.

I sit back and rest my back against the side of his trunk. He lays sprawled out comfortably on top of me. I watch the waves crash and relax.

Is this what happiness feels like?

I reach my index and middle finger to my lips and then press them softly against his cheek. His eyes narrow at me.

What? Did I do something wrong?

A visible shiver runs through his body, he sits up.

"I think I'm ready." He states freakishly quick.

"Okay?" I say confusion laced in my tone.

We both enter the car on either side, the ride there is silent besides the soft music playing in the background through the radio.
