"Hey Peach." Caelum stood before me with a sly smirk on his face.
He's such a dick.
His fluffy brown hair sat perfectly on his head. His emerald green eyes stood out against his seamless pale skin. Freckles danced on his cheeks to a wonderful rhythm. His broad shoulders met my chin and his perfect smile made my stomach turn.
I said I hated him, not that he was ugly.
I mean, he's ugly on the inside. Where it counts most. What he did was absolutely terrible. He never apologized and on top of that. He let the bullying continue, he even encouraged it.
His presence disgusts me.
"Don't call me Peach, dick." I stated firmly staring at him straight in his eyes.
"Hmm, how about Princess? You like that better?" His sly smirk turns into a menacing stare.
"No, actually id like for you not to address me at all." I turn away from him and reach for the handle on the back door.
"Wait, Peach." He grabs my arm firmly and turns me back towards him.
I snatch my arm away from him and a look of disgust rests on my face.
"Don't fucking touch me Caelum." Fire flows through my veins almost immediately.
"Please don't do this Astra. It's been four years." He looks almost apologetic. Disheveled even.
"Time may heal all wounds, but that doesn't mean the scar isn't still there. Prick."
I turn around and open the back door swiftly hoping he just walks in after me and keeps quiet. I get that its been awhile but it ruined my life. Ive been labeled unlikeable my entire career at Reverend High and its because of him. All I wanted was to be normal, he took that away from me.
I hate him.
We haven't had an interaction like that since 9th grade. He asked me to the school formal, obviously as a joke, and I was beyond pissed. I mean did you not ruin my life already?
I walk over to the counter and clock in on the computer. I quickly grab my apron and tie it around my waist.
"Behind!" Someone shouts while snaking their arms around my waist.
"Hi Sami." I giggle at her stupid attempt to startle me.
"Hey babes, I just sat you two four seats. Get to gettin!" She pinches my cheek and runs off into the back probably to figure out what's going on with Caelum.
She obviously doesn't like him either, but Samaria can be cordial. She's kind and chill. Im rude and I hold grudges.
I will never forgive him.
I walk over to my first table and greet them with the biggest fake smile known to man."
"Hi there everyone, Im Astra and I'll be taking care of y'all tonight!"
An older woman sat on the edge of the booth, she looked up at me and smiled.
"Why hello there young lady, your name is so beautiful. Did your mom come up with it?" Her wise eyes sparkled at me.
"Actually, yes she did, it means 'Of the Stars'" I state with a fake smile that was holding on for dear life.
"Well that is just so wonderful."
"Can I get y'all started with any drinks or are you still looking?" I just want to start my other four seater.
A middle aged man spoke up from the other corner of the table.
