[16] - Girlfriend

Chris's POV

After yesterday's "incident" where Joel refused to listen to me and Richard, he has been ignoring us and I can't take it anymore especially since he's mad for no reason. All we did was try to help him see the truth.

"Uh Rich?" I said. "What's up?" He said. "I think Joel's fallen off the rails" I said. "I thought that was pretty clear after yesterday" He said. "No no I mean look who's at his locker" I said.

"Joel why is this female standing here with you?" I asked. "What do you mean?" He said. "Whatever her name is, Why is she here??" I said.

"Chris I think you know my name pretty well" She said. "And you didn't hear the news?" She asked. "I'm his girlfriend" She said. "Ha. Ha. Very funny now what's the real reason you're here?" Said Rich. "That is the real reason" She said.

"Funny you say that because one, Joel doesn't do relationships and two, if he ever were to be in one it would be with Erick you know somebody he really cares about, not you" I said. "Oh well that's also funny because Joel was the one who came to me and asked me to be his girlfriend" She said.

"Joel you're doing it again" Said Rich. "What exactly am I doing?" He asked. "YOU'RE BEING SELF DESTRUCTIVE AGAIN, THAT'S WHAT" I said. "What makes you think that?" He asked.

"Wh-WHAT DO YOU MEAN?!?" I asked. "Y-YOURE D-DATING THIS GIRL" I said. "Chris calm down" Said Richard putting his hand on my shoulder. "What's wrong with Samantha?" Asked Joel.

"WHAT'S WRONG WITH HER?!" I said. "SHE'S MY FUCKING EX-GIRLFRIED AND YOU KNOW THAT" I said.

"Look, I know you just lost Erick and it's making you lash out and do stupid things, BUT THIS IS NOT OKAY" I said. "And I may be your best friend and I always stick with you, especially during hard times like these but you can add me to the list of people you lost because I can't stick with you on this one" I said walking away.

"How could you hurt Chris like that? Just because you're hurting doesn't mean you have to make your best friends hurt with you" Said Rich before walking away with me.

As we were walking away from Joel, Erick was walking towards us.

"Somebody explain to me RIGHT NOW, what happened to "he's hurt" "he's depressed" "he loves you" "HE'S SUICIDAL" HUH?! because it seems to me like he's PERFECTLY fine and HAS A GIRLFRIEND" he said. "You guys put me through all that yesterday, had me worried ALL DAY about him, I COULDN'T EVEN SLEEP, JUST FOR HIM TO BE PERFECTLY FINE" he said.

"Forget it, I'm done with him and you guys" He said walking away.

"This has gone too far" Said Richard turning around and walking back up to Joel.

"Where the hell were you yesterday when your two best friends and the love of your fucking life were worried sick about you banging on your door?!?" he asked. "I get it YOU'RE A MESS, but pushing away the people who care about you most in this world IS BEYOND STUPID" He said.

"Chris and I don't deserve this but most importantly Erick doesn't deserve this. You have no idea what he went through yesterday, and for this past week crying his eyes out because of you and it's like you don't care or at least you pretend you don't" He said.

"You need to wake the fuck up. You're 17 years old running away from your feelings like you're 12" he said. "I know you've been hurt more times than you can count but when are you going to realize that not everybody wants to hurt you?? Erick loves you and you love him so stop trying to fight it and FOR THE LOVE OF GOD TELL HIM HOW YOU FEEL" he said.

"But as long as you want to keep this little charade up of you pretending you let go of him and pretending that you actually like Samantha, Chris and I do not want to be apart of it" he said. "So when you're ready to stop being such a terrible friend to us and you're ready to admit your feelings for Erick you know where to find us" He said.
