Ivy opened her clenched eyes, they were in front of The Burrow. It was dark, she was disoriented and confused she looked up at Lucius. "What time is it? What is going on?" She asked. Lucius looked down at her and that's when she noticed a large scratch down the side of his face and she gasped. "Lucius! Are you alright?" She said.

He grabbed her hands tightly in his and peered into her eyes, "it's early little one, 3am. I need you to listen to me and listen closely. I need to leave you here where you are safe. Your father broke into the manor and I need to go deal with him. I need to know your safe so I am leaving you here." His tone was serious but also soft.

Ivy stared at him fear bubbling and tears pooling into her eyes. "I can help!" She blurted out. Lucius cupped her face with his large hands, "no princess you don't understand. He has help with him this time. Some how he recruited the Carrow's I don't understand how but I do believe they may be under the effects of the imperious curse. I need you here out of the way where I know your safe." He pressed his lips to her forehead, she was trembling out of fear and anxiety.

"Lucius stay here with me" she begged. He sighed and pulled her into his cloaked chest engulfing her with his scent. "I need to protect our home, I need to protect you. Severus is going to help me you'll be safe here" he said, walking to the door of the Burrow and knocking.

Inside of the Burrow was dark, everyone surely was asleep, they waited a moment before the glow of a light shown through the window and a sleepy Molly made her way to the door. "Lucius please" Ivy begged. "No princess you need to stay here" he said sternly.

The door creaked open and Molly yawned before looking at the two of them her eyes widening. "Lucius, Ivy what are you doing here? Good heavens it's 3AM!" She said. "Molly I need you guys to keep an eye on Ivy, it's happening. Emerace broke into the manor and he has help, she isn't safe there" Lucius spoke. Her eyes widened with concern, Ivy was clung to Lucius's side. "Come in my dear," Molly spoke.

Lucius pried Ivy off his arm, "please Darling, I need you to listen this is not a game. This is your life we are talking about, I love you stay here with the Weasley's I will come back for you when it's safe" he pressed his lips to hers in such a fierce passion it made Ivy think that this could indeed be their last kiss. She didn't want to let go of him but to much effort he pried her off of him and pushed her into Molly's arms.

"I love you Ivy Abbott, always" he said before disapparating. Molly had her arms wrapped tightly around Ivy holding her so she couldn't run after him. It wasn't until a few moments later that Ivy realized that she was screaming out into the darkness of the night. "Ok, ok my sweet it's alright. Come, let's go inside" Molly hushed her trying her hardest to sooth Ivy.

Molly pulled her into the house and held her tightly in her embrace letting Ivy sob. "What in the bloody hell is going on?" A sleepy deep voice came from the doorway to the kitchen. "It's Ivy George, Lucius needs us to protect her." Molly spoke over Ivy's fear filled sobs. "Fucking hell alright" George said slowly in shock before walking over to Ivy and placing his large hand on her back.

Ivy pushed out of Molly's embrace and into George's comforting hug. "Hey kid you're ok everything is going to be alright. I promise" he said engulfing her in his enormous arms. Her entire body trembled fiercely as he held her, her sobs quieting. George and Molly exchanged looks of worry between the two of them, both unsure of what was going to happen.

Once Ivy calmed down enough George took her to the couch in the living room while Molly prepared some tea. They sat on the couch in silence, George had an arm wrapped around her and she was sunken into his side staring at the glow of the fireplace. "I could help him" she said breaking the silence.
