I'll Do What I Have To

Authors note: I am so sorry for the delay in updating I lost my motivation to write for a while but I'm back! This isn't the best chapter but bear with me I need to get back into my flow again. Smut warning. Don't forget to interact with the chapter comment and star! Stay slutty my loves.

The days were looking a little different now, Lucius and Ivy spent most of their time with each other not wanting to separate due to the circumstances. Some days were more stressful than others. Even Draco and Blaise were spending more time around the manor again just as precaution, they were prepared this time for anything.

"Kitten?" Lucius said coming down the stairs buttoning the cuff on his shirt sleeve. "Hmmm?" Ivy hummed not looking up from the book she was reading on the couch in front of the fireplace. "Would you be interested in brushing up on your defensive spells?" He asked.

Her head shot up, the last time she had done that it had been traumatizing. "Absolutely not! Not after last time! I'm fine I can recall the last lesson perfectly fine" she shook her head. That wasn't the answer Lucius had been hoping for, he sighed irritatedly. "Kitten... I want you to be" he began but she cut him off. "Lucius absolutely not. That is out of the question. I am not doing it again end of story!" She snapped

Ivy's fuse had been short lately, she was constantly on edge in fear that Narcissa would show up at any given moment. "While I understand you are anxious and on edge that is no excuse for being an insolent little brat. Check the attitude before I put it in check for you by reminding you who is in charge here. Do I make myself clear?" He said standing over her menacingly staring down at her.

She stared at him for a moment contemplating remarking back with attitude but decided not to, "yes sir" she nodded looking down at her book again. "That's my good girl" he hummed stroking her head before sitting on the chair adjacent to her.

Lucius had picked up The Daily Prophet and started to read it. Ivy felt bad for snapping at Lucius it wasn't his fault they were in the situation they were in and she was sure he was just as stressed as she was if not even more than her. She had riddled herself with guilt that was eating away at her, before long she found her eyes growing misty. She tried her best to do seal the tears from him not wanting to make him feel bad.

She wiped the tears out of her eyes on the back of her jumper, and Lucius noticed immediately. "Kitten? What is it what's wrong?" He asked inquisitively. "I'm sorry. I'm ok" she said her voice wavering with sadness. "You are not fine, you are crying come tell me Princess" he urged with concern to his tone.

She placed her book down and ran her hands down her face wiping the tears that were falling. "I'm sorry I've been so insufferable this last week. I've been so on edge and so anxious I'm scared she will show up at any moment and ruin what we have. I'm terrified of loosing you, the thought of it makes me so violently ill I cannot tolerate it" she said through broken cries.

His face fell into a frown when he saw how quickly she fell apart in front of him. She had been practicing occlumency and shutting him out so he had no idea what was going on inside her busy mind. He stood up and went to his weeping wife sitting beside her and pulling her into his chest. The way she trembled as she cried hurt him, he wasn't aware that the situation was affecting her as deeply as it is.

"Kitten I had no idea you felt this way you've been blocking me from your thoughts I had no way of knowing. First of all you are not insufferable at all, had I known how you were actually feeling I wouldn't have used that choice of wording at all. You've got to talk to me about these things kitten especially if your going to use occlumency, if you won't let me inside your mind you have to speak up. If and when Narcissa shows up we will handle it together, she isn't going to take me away from you. I am not going anywhere, you are my entire life now. My only purpose in life now is to serve and protect you. Nobody and nothing will change that." He said holding Ivy to him.
