After the lightning

The fanfiction takes place where the movie ends when the boys souls were in the lotus

''I thought I'd never see you again'' Nezhas mother sobbed as the whole village bowed down to the two boys

''Don't worry about me mom I'm just fine thanks to Aobing'' my parents looked at him and bowed to him as well

''Thank you...for helping our son'' his father said, Aobing bowed back

''It was my pleasure sir'' he said in a shy voice

''Im very sorry...for causing such a chaos'' he continued

''Its not your fault...we judged you before we got to know you, and my son really seems to trust you and respect you as his friend...from now on me and the rest of us will take time to learn about you and you'll be one of us Aobing''

''Thank you for you respect sir'' his father gave Aobing a friendly nod before turning around to face Nezhas master

''Is there a way we can get their body's back?'' the father asked him

''I'm not sure, I think we can restore them but it will take umm...probably a few weeks... I think'' he said nervously

''WHAT, oh come oooooooooon, we gotta stay like this for WEEKS'' Ne Zha complained

''Don't you worry Nezha ill find the right scroll and get you guys back in a giffy, follow me, the rest of you go look in the library in case it's not in my house'' he said referring to the other citizens, they followed his orders and went to the library to search

Nezhas father carried the boys and his mother followed close behind as they went to Taiyis house

''It's gotta be here somewhere'' he said to himself as he searched the various shelfs that he had in his own small library, throwing the scrolls on the floor one by one saying ''no'' after looking at each one of them. the rest were also looking around trying to find the right one while the only thing the boys could do was stand there watching as Nezhas father had placed them on the table

''So what do you think we can do during these few weeks?'' Aobing asked

''I don't know, its going to be boring though because we can't move around''

''Nezha great timing mentioning this, I just found a scroll, you two will be able to move around''

''Master should we keep searching?''

''Yes, yes, you two keep searching ill just preform this really quick, just a warning you two it might hurt a little'' he made the scroll float so he could easily read it and preform the spell at the same time. He brought his hands close to his mouth and spoke in a foreign language

Ne Zhas pov

As master said it started to hurt a little and it got stronger by the second, I could see Aobing was also kind of struggling, I went closer to hold hands with him, I reached out my hand

''Aobing...'' I managed to say through my gridded teeth to get his attention, he reached for my hand and grabbed it. We closed out eyes and soon enough after we opened them again we were outside the lotus in our normal heights

''Better isn't it'' we looked at ourselves agreeing with a nod

''Great, now where is that scroll'' he ran off from where he stopped

''Master?''

''Um yes Nezha?''

''Can I and Aobing go outside?'' I asked loudly so he would hear me as he went in another room

''Yes, Nezha we'll keep looking you two should go play''

''Ok'' I grabbed Aobings hand

''Let's go to my house I want to show you''

''Alright no need to rush'' he said trying to slow me down

My smile spread from ear to ear as we ran down the small pathways of the village to reach my home. When we were almost there I looked back at my friend, he gave me a kind smile before turning in front of us and suddenly looked disappointed and shocked. I turned in front of me, my home was almost completely destroyed...and not just because of the chaos I caused but because of the big fight where most buildings got somewhat destroyed

''don't worry Nezha, when we get out bodies back we can help repair the damage much quicker'' he said trying to calm me

''Yea...I guess you're right''

''Why don't we go to the beach and play?'' my face lit up at the idea

''YEA'' I grabbed Aobing once more and we ran through the village to arrive at the beach

As we were playing Aobing suddenly stopped and looked down as if he had remembered something important

''I forgot''

''What did you forget?'' I asked not sure of what he meant

''I didn't wish you happy birthday'' I turned around

''that's ok today was total chaos anyways-'' just as I turned back around he hugged me tightly

''Happy birthday Nezha'' I hugged him back with my small arms

''But you know, even though today was chaos...I'm glad you're here, cause with you this is the best birthday ever'' I said as he let go, I could see his face redden as he processed the compliment

''Also, I didn't bring much but I wanted to give you a present so...here'' he reached into his pocket and gave me a necklace with his spirit pearl mark as a charm, it was gorgeous

''This is my mark and I'm currently wearing one with your mark as a charm...as a way to remember each other if we part'' he reached into his black shirt under his robe and showed me his charm

''Did you make that?'' I asked surprised as I held my necklace

''Yes actually, during those ten days before your birthday master was trying to train me more but I tried spending as much time as possible on this...knowing I was probably never going to see you again'' he stuttered the last part out like he was trying not to cry, eventually a tear ran down his cheek

''I-I'm sorry''

''Hey, don't worry about it now, we're still all in one piece...well, sorta, but that's ok, we wont ever part again, I promise. Friends forever?'' I asked holding up my charm

''Friends forever'' he responded and connected his charm with mine
