Ne Zha x Ao Bing

school day

nezhas pov (the same night)

That night was extremely Hot for some reason, the only thing i was wearing was the shorts of my pijamas as i was too hot to wear the shirt, instead it was thrown on the ground from frustration by me a few minutes ago. My thin sheets were also thrown aside, i groaned once more in frustration, i was tired but for some reason i just couldnt sleep. i was tossing and turning trying to find a comfortable position but after a few seconds or so id want to change positions once again. i stood up on my bed and let myself fall face first on my pillow, i turned my head to the side and sighed, all of a sudden AoBing came to my mind. i remembered that moment a few months back, he was drawing the sea and i was sitting behind him watching, he had suddenly stopped drawing and it took me a few seconds to realise he was in tears. 

''Hey what's the matter'' i asked him sitting beside him and gently taking his brush to set it on the floor. i placed my hand on his shoulder and brought him closer to me in an attempt to comfort him

''N-nothing'' he managed to say in between his quiet sobs

''You wouldnt be crying if it was nothing, please talk to me''

''I-I just miss m-my home...i miss the sea, and...m-my fa-ther'' he continued to cry

''But, you said you dont like your father'' 

''I dont...i dont, i really dont, but...he's my father and i love him'' i leaned his head on the crook of my neck and made my other hands appear, the middle and bottom pair held his waist and the top pair was elswhere. With one hand i gently rubbed his back and with the other i stroked his hair until he stopped crying completely.

i remembered this moment and i felt strange, i remembered holding him close to me, i remembered the way his head was resting oh my neck, my hand stroking his velvety hair. Ι felt my heart spead up, my cheeks flushed

After that incident, i had decided to take him to the beach as a surprise, i have never seen him smile wider, that was the first time i saw him with is scales. They shinned so brightly under the sun, he was overall glowing

I touched my cheeks, they were burning hot, my heart was racing, my stomach fluttered, what is this, Ao bing...what are you doing to me

The next day

It was a normal day in school, we were outside in the yard, to be honest Nezha was smart but he didn't usually show his good side in class, he would be naughty in one way or another, at least once a day. I would help him with homework and tried to get him motivated, it sorta worked and he gets decent grades at least, I am top of the class and the get the best grades, Yaya, of course is the same age as us and she is also a top student. We had martial arts that day and master Taiyi teaches our class. There was one particular boy in our class that didn't like us so he would often bully us, he is one of the reasons I don't like my body, Nezha is always unfazed by what he says and defends me when he's there.

''Ok kids, lift one of your feet and bring it up like this, place your hands together and try to stay balanced'' master said, I followed his orders as well as everyone else, most of the kids were not able to balance unlike me and Nezha, unfortunately the bully was standing next to him, but he was also clearly struggling to stand on one leg, I was at the edge (very) close to the wall, Nezha was right next to me.

''Come on, Aobing, Nezha (he mentioned a few other kids names) can do it with ease, come on, focus'' as he walked up to the other kids to help one by one I closed my eyes to relax more since I knew this was going to take a while, as master went to the second row behind us the boy found the opportunity to mess with us and kicked Nezha hard.

Nezhas pov

The bully kicked me  and since aobing was right next to me our bodies crashed and we were heading to hit the hard stone wall. I didn't want Aobing to hit the wall so I put my hand on the wall next to him to prevent him from crashing into the wall. With a quick move with my other arm I pulled him in by his waist close to me and with the other I let it hit the wall to stop us. His head barely touched the wall as I was quick to prevent him from getting hurt
