"I used you flannel that had your scent all over it and she must have smelt it or something."I explained with a slightly sad look. He looked confused."I understand if you want to leave me for her. She's your second chance mate, you're suppose to be together."
He cupped my cheek and kissed me gently."I will never leave you, Athena. I love you way to much."
I nodded with tears in my eyes."I'm sorry but I'm still in love with Colton."
I watch as his expression changed from loving to anger. He let go of my cheek and ran a hand through his perfectly brown hair.
"I understand but I love you and I can't help it. I'm always going to choose you Athena. Why won't you choose me?"He says desperately. Tears run down my cheeks and I shook my head.
"I can't help. I feel pulled to him but I can't do anything about it. It hurts. I want you too. I love both of you."I sobbed and violently wiped the tears under my eyes.
His eyes soften and let out a loud sigh."I knew this was going to happening. I know, baby. I know you can't help it. I'm being selfish. I-I just want you all to myself. I wish I was your mate instead of him. You should go back to him, Athena."
My eyes widen with shock."Harvey, I love you and I know I should be with him but I still want you in my life. I've grown close to you and so has the kids. How about you meet your second chance mate and we'll still be friends?"
He bit his bottom lip and nodded. Then he engulfed me into a hug. My hands with attached to him. Never in a million year, I thought that Harvey and I would break up. I always thought that Colton would find a new girl and I would be married to Harvey and have his kids. I guess this is our fate.
Harvey is now free from me and he can go to his mate. I can go to mine. I smiled into his chest."I guess your gonna want to meet her."
He pulls away with an unsure look."Yeah, maybe, I don't know."I give him a shocked look.
"What do you mean you don't know?!"
"I mean I don't know if I'm ready for her as yet. We just broke up. She may be my mate but I can't fall in love with her that easily."He explains with a huff. I run my temples as an idea comes to me.
"Why don't you and I go to Colton's pack in a few days? We can bring the kids and everything. If you like your mate then you take her back with you."I suggest and he thinks about it.
He nods."But what about you and Colton?"He says his name with a grimace, making me smile the tiniest bit.
"I'll probably settle down with Colton and we'll see where it goes from there."I say and everything goes silent. We both take a seat on the edge of the bed."I still can't believe that this is it."
He nods in a agreement."Me too. I thought we would be together forever but I guess that's why everyone has a mate. This was destined to happen."
"Yeah. I guess everything is gonna be different now."
