Athena Bradley.
"When am I going home?"I asked. Colton glanced at me and continued driving.
"The pack house is your home."He told keeping his eyes on the road. I frowned.
"I mean with my mom and dad."
"We could go right now if you want."He smiled but it didn't reach his eyes.
"Yeah, I miss them."I played with my fingers on my lap. He didn't say anything after that. Soon my house came to view and I hopped outside of the car as soon as he stopped the car. I opened the front door of the house and walked inside.
"Mom?Dad?"I called out, looking around the foyer.
"Athena!"I heard my mother say in the kitchen. I walked to the kitchen and saw my parents. I was quickly pulled into a hug by my mother.
"I missed you. Where were you?"She asked, worried. A hint of anger was in her voice. She placed her hands on my shoulder, looking at me.
Guilt dawned on me and I frowned.
"With me."Colton's voice came from behind me. My father crossed his arms, curiosity in his eyes.
"What were you doing with Colton?"My mother raised her eyebrows, looking at me. I glanced at Colton for help and he nodded.
"Athena is my mate."He spoke firmly. My mother gasped and she pulled me into another hug, tightly wrapping her arms around me.
"I'm so happy for you."She whispered in my ear.
"Thanks, mom."She let go of me and I stood at Colton's side.My dad had an emotionless stare.
"No. She's too young to be with him."He stated, a stern look in his eyes. Colton and dad were glaring at each other.
"Jake, stop. I trust Colton with Athena. He won't hurt her."Mom nudged him in his ribs and smiled at us.
"Mom. I'm home!"
Josh entered the kitchen. His eyes widen when he saw us all packed in the kitchen.
"What's going on?"
I bit my lip, keeping silent. I don't know how Josh would react.
"Athena and Colton are mates."Mom told him and his eyes widen as he glanced at Colton and I. His lips curved up into a smile.
"Congrats, man."He patted Colton's shoulder. He turned to me with a smile."You too, baby sis."
My father shot Josh a look and the room when silent. Colton cleared his throat, breaking the silence.
"She will be staying with me from now on."Colton stated, grabbing my hand. My dad narrowed his eyes at him. Oh shit.
"No, she will not."
Colton held my hand hard and I winced. His eyes snapped to mine and they soften. I smiled, telling him it was alright.
"She is mine. She will be staying with me."He growled. Dad looked surprised but covered it.
"Jake. Athena will be staying with Colton and that is final."Mom said but you could see the sadness in her eyes. She wants me to stay. After that I walked up to my room and grabbed a bag. I packed some of my clothes.
"Are you okay?"Josh asked, leaning against the doorway.
"A little bit."I sighed. He walked over to me and pulled me into a hug.
"I'll miss you."I hugged him. He kissed the top of my head.
"I'll miss you too, baby sis."
I picked up the bag and walked downstairs to Colton. We climbed inside the car and drove off. The pack was far out in the forest, so it took a while to get there. I looked outside the window and saw a dark brown wolf, staring at me. It's eyes were blue and it seem as if it was trying to tell me something.
"Colton. Look."I pointed to where the wolf was but it was gone.
"What?"He asked, concerned.I shook my head. I must be seeing things.
"Nothing."
