"Good morning," Daesung said, greeting Seunghyun as soon as he spotted him walking down the carpeted corridor.

"Mornin'," Seunghyun said in a sleepy voice as he walked into his office and sat down at his desk. As soon as he plopped in the chair, he yawned loudly, his elbows propped up on his desktop, and rubbed his face with his hands.

"Didn't sleep much last night?" Daesung questioned, stepping in Seunghyun's office a little and leaning against the door frame. Seunghyun just shook his head no, his face still covered with his hands. "Geez, guy. You aren't a goddamn vampire, you know. You need to sleep."

"Well, it's not my fault my mind won't let me rest," Seunghyun replied, glancing up at Daesung. Daesung only sighed, knowing exactly what he was referring to.

"When are you going to accept the fact that she is gone?" he said, crossing his arms over his broad chest. Seunghyun finally looked at Daesung, placing his hands flat on his desk with a semi-loud slam. "I'm serious, man. She left and she isn't going to come back anytime soon."

"I know that," Seunghyun replied, raising his eyebrows and hands. "My mind just needs some extra time to...adjust, that's all."

It had been almost one year since Minzy had broken off their engagement for no apparent reason. It had taken that long for Seunghyun to process that she was actually gone, and now he just had to accept the fact that it was so abrupt. There was no note or call or anything left behind; one day, she just packed her things and left without an explanation.

"Well, you should get on that soon," Daesung said. "I'm tired of being around you and your depressed self. It's annoying." Seunghyun looked up at his friend and colleague in slight shock after hearing his reply.

"It's annoying for you?" he asked. "Did you really just say that to my face?"

"Yes sir, I did," Daesung answered, making Seunghyun sigh and roll his eyes in response.

"Sometimes I wonder why I'm friends with you," he said as he started to unpack his bag.

"Right back at ya, buddy." Daesung snickered. As much as Seunghyun was annoyed by him sometimes, he couldn't help but grin every time Daesung acted like this. It was one of the few things that could bring a smile to his face.

"Seunghyun," Seunghyun's boss said as she appeared in his doorway. "Oh, good morning, Daesung."

"G-Good morning, Chaerin," Daesung stuttered, scrambling to stand up straight. Seunghyun just chuckled, covering his mouth as he turned his head to the side.

"Seunghyun, I need to see you in my office," she said, getting back on topic.

"Okay, I'll be right there," Seunghyun replied, turning his head back, but still trying to prevent himself from laughing. Then, she smiled kindly at them both before heading back in the direction of her office. Seunghyun let out his chuckle as he noticed Daesung practically drool as he watched her walk away. "Don't even think about it, dude," he said, coming up behind him and placing a hand on his shoulder. "She's way out of your league."

"How do you know?" Daesung said, finally able to peel his eyes off of her. "She might like me, too. She could just be hiding it."

"Yeah okay, whatever you say," Seunghyun said, patting his back, before exiting his office. Daesung was about to say some smart remark back, but shut his mouth and decided to save it for another time.

A few people said hi to Seunghyun as walked down the corridor, headed in the direction of Chaerin's office, and he greeted them back with a small hello and smile. He made it there and just opened the door before walking in since she was already expecting him.

"Have a seat," she said once she laid eyes on him.

"Okay," he said, shutting the door behind him carefully and then going over to sit. "What's up? Why did you want to see me?"

"I wanted to see you because I have a new assignment for you," she replied, placing her now folded hands on her desk and looking at Seunghyun.

The morning sun was already shining brightly when Jiyong finally arrived at his bus stop. Although he made a decent living selling himself, he wanted to save the money he had for something more important.

He got off the bus and fixed his slightly disheveled clothes before continuing into the apartment complex. He had to take the elevator up to the third-floor apartment he shared with Dongguk, his pimp, and their newest boy, Hanbin. Dongguk had other boys working for him, but he always kept his newest recruits close and the ones he had the hots for closer, hence, Jiyong still living there even after three years. He didn't mind it much, though. It was a roof over his head and a nice bed to sleep in, and Dongguk wasn't usually there anyway.

Jiyong made it up there within the next few minutes and took his key out of his pocket so he could unlock the door. Once he did, he was taken by surprise when he saw that Dongguk was actually there.

"Hyung, you're back!" Hanbin said with excitement in his voice once Jiyong shut the door.

"Hey," Jiyong said with a smile as he took his coat off and hung it up on the rack. Hanbin skipped over and hugged the elder as a form of an extended greeting. Jiyong, alhtough caught slighly off guard, hugged him back before the hug was broken. It had only been a few months since he started, so the life hadn't been completely squeezed out of him yet.

"I missed you," Hanbin said as he stepped back.

"I missed you, too," Jiyong said with a genuine smile painted on his lips, ruffling the top of Hanbin's thin, black locks.

Jiyong saw a lot of himself in Hanbin, which is probably the reason why he took extra care of him. He was one of the "veterans" among the boys, so a lot of them looked up to him, but Jiyong personally felt different about Hanbin. Maybe he wanted to rescue him because he couldn't rescue himself.

"Hey kiddo," Dongguk said with a smile as Jiyong walked closer to him.

"Hey," Jiyong said as Dongguk pecked his temples with a kiss. "What are you doing here?"

"What? I'm not allowed in my own apartment now?" Dongguk said, wearing a grin to show that he was joking.

"No." Jiyong chuckled in slight embarrassment. "I just wasn't expecting to see you, that's all."

"Yeah well, I just came over to check to see if you had gotten back yet and check on this little rascal," he replied, pinching Hanbin's cheek. Jiyong nodded as he let out an "ah" as Hanbin rubbed his slightly red cheek.

"How long are you staying?" Jiyong asked next.

"Actually," Dongguk said as he looked at his watch, "I have to get going now. I'm still making my rounds, but I'll call you later, okay?"

"Okay," Jiyong said as he watched Dongguk pick his car keys off the coffee table.

"I'll see you later, boys," Dongguk said, placing a quick kiss on each of their foreheads before exiting the apartment.

"So, did you sleep well last night?" Jiyong said as he sighed lightly and sat on the couch to take his shoes off. "Words on the street is you had a rough night."

"Yeah, it was pretty bad." Hanbin sighed and pouted.

"Wanna talk about it?" Jiyong asked. For a moment, Hanbin just stared at him. Then, he just smiled and shook his head. "Okay, well, if you do, you know where to find me."

"Thanks, hyung," he said, widening his smile a little.

"You hungry?" he asked, earning an eager nod from him. "Okay, I'll go make some breakfast for us after I put my stuff away."

He walked over to his room, first taking out his money from the night and organizing it into the box he kept stored away under one of the loose floorboards. He probably had a couple thousand dollars in there by now, though the total fluctuated more often than it increased. But such was the way of his world and he decided to not to dwell on it. Anyway, he could never put a price on a freedom.

I removed Seungri from this story for obvious reasons. I know some people are still kind of divided on the whole issue, but I just felt better taking him out and replacing him so yeah hope you understand :)
