No noise lingered in the bedroom as Jiyong laid in Seunghyun's bed, wrapped tightly in his strong arms. The effects of the alcohol were slowly wearing off after some water, but Jiyong still found himself not wanting to get up. He felt warm and safe there in this man's arms, though it had only been a few days since their first meeting.

"You know something?" he asked, finally breaking the silence.

"Hmm?" Seunghyun hummed in reply, absentmindedly running his fingers through Jiyong's hair.

"I've never done anything like this before," Jiyong admitted with a light exhale, adjusting his body slightly.

"What do you mean?" Seunghyun replied with furrowed eyebrows, halting his hand movements.

"Like just be with someone without any expectations." Jiyong blinked and narrowed his eyes as the words left his mouth. "Now that I think about it, I don't remember the last time I just dated someone. It's been so long."

"Really?"

"Yeah," Jiyong said. "I guess most people don't want to date prostitutes."

"Seems shallow to me, but I guess some people are just like that."

"Yeah, I guess," Jiyong said, a hint of sadness in his voice.

"Does that mean you get lonely then?" Seunghyun asked next.

"Sometimes when I'm alone." Jiyong nodded. "But then I think this is the price I have to pay for choosing this life. All actions have consequences, right?" He tried to force out a chuckle, but Seunghyun could tell the loneliness got to him.

"No one deserves to feel like they have no one in the world, regardless of the decisions they make," he replied, hoping his words would give him even a small amount of comfort. "I mean, I guess if you're a real asshole, you might deserve it."

Jiyong chuckled and moved even closer to the elder male. "I don't feel lonely right now," he said in a softer voice, feeling slightly embarrassed. Seunghyun smiled a little, but his smile quickly fell when the guilt hit him again.

His gut was telling him that things had gone too far, but his heart couldn't seem to let go.

Seunghyun was woken up the next morning by his cell phone ringing loudly and causing a small echo to spread throughout the room. As he was now laying on his side, he turned his body slightly just to check to see if he was dreaming but knew he wasn't when it kept ringing.

Being careful not to disturb the still sleeping body next to him, Seunghyun removed his arm from around Jiyong and leaned over so he could reach his phone, which was sitting on his nightstand.

"Hello?" he said quiet and groggy voice once he pressed the green answer button.

"Oh, Seunghyun, did I wake you?" Chaerin said as he let out a big yet quiet yawn.

"Kind of, but it's okay," Seunghyun said, rubbing his eyes open. "What's going on?"

"It's about your assignment," she said in a concerned tone that Seunghyun could instantly recognize.

"What about my assignment?" he replied, raising his volume a little as he sat up and moved to the edge of the bed.

"Well..." she began to say but never finished. "I think it would be better if you heard this in person. Can you come to the office for awhile?"

He turned and looked at Jiyong, who still seemed to be fast asleep. "Yeah sure," Seunghyun said as he rubbed his face and turned back around. "I can be there in like 15, 20 minutes."

"Okay, good. Bye," Chaerin said.

"Bye." Seunghyun hung up the phone and dragged his hands down his face tiredly once more. At the same time, he heard a soft moan come from Jiyong, which made him shift his body around. Jiyong flipped over so he was laying on his stomach and rubbed his eyes open with a few of his fingers before looking at Seunghyun.

"Good morning," he said, a sleepy smile forming on his lips.

"Morning," Seunghyun said as he laid himself back down a little and brushed some hair out of Jiyong's eyes.

"Am I just crazy or did I hear a loud, ringing noise a minute ago?" Jiyong said as he slowly blinked his eyes, his voice starting to sound more awake.

"No, you're not crazy." Seunghyun chuckled. "My boss just called and wanted me to come in for a bit."

"Oh." Jiyong yawned. "Does that mean I have to stay here again?"

"Not if you don't want to," Seunghyun replied, earning a slightly baffled look from the younger male.

"You mean I can come with you?" he asked, a hint of excitement in his voice.

"If that's what you want, yeah," Seunghyun said with a small smile occupying his lips. Jiyong smiled brightly before sitting up and pecking Seunghyun's lips with a kiss. "I'll take that as a yes, then," he said as he let out a breathy laugh, causing Jiyong to laugh a little in slight embarrassment. "Well then, we should get ready. We can stop for breakfast afterward. It shouldn't take long," Seunghyun said as he got onto his feet.

Seunghyun's first stop was the bathroom, where he let out a heavy sigh once he locked the door. He could barely stand to look at his reflection these days, knowing he was deceiving someone he had come to care about a lot over the past few days. He didn't want to ruin everything by coming clean, but he didn't know how much longer he could keep carrying the weight of his lies.

~~~~~~~
The two males made it to Seunghyun's office and Seunghyun lead Jiyong inside to the lobby, where Chaerin just happened to be talking to the secretary.
"Oh, hey, Seunghyun," she said with her usually friendly smile. "Who's this?"
"This is Yong," he said, glancing over at him. He gave her a small gesture with his eyes and then she immediately got the hint.
"It's nice to meet you," she said, putting on a smile. "I'm Chaerin."
"It's nice to meet you, too," Jiyong said, bowing a little.
"Uh, you can just go wait for me in my office," Seunghyun said, turning to Jiyong. "It's just down this hall, the third door on the left."
"Okay," he said with a small nod before walking off in that direction.
"So what's up?" Seunghyun said to Chaerin after he saw Jiyong enter his office.
"Let's go to my office," she said before walking in that direction, her heels clicking on the floor with every step. The two made it to her office within the next few seconds and Chaerin shut the door before she started talking. "So, you know how I had to call to make that appointment or whatever for you to get him?" she said, stopping a few inches away from Seunghyun.
"Yeah." Seunghyun nodded.
"Well, when I came in this morning," she started, walking over to sit in her chair, "the secretary told me that two guys had come in yesterday and filed a missing person's report."
"Okay..." Seunghyun said, not really understanding her point. "But what does that have to do with me and my case?"
"They filed it for someone named Kwon Jiyong," she said. Seunghyun's eyes widened as soon as he heard the words leave her mouth. He had never learned his full name, but the resemblance to the name he gave him couldn't have been a coincidence. "Apparently, whoever came in is really protective over his boys. I am meeting with them today to file the full report, so I'll be able to get more information for you after that."
"Well, what should I do right now? I mean, I'm sure he would care to know that people are looking for him. What if one of them is his pimp?" Seunghyun said.
"Then, we'll have to find some way to speed this process up," she said with a light sigh. Seunghyun sighed as well, his being more heavy and concerned. "Look, don't worry, Seunghyun. If I make the right moves, I might be able to get one of them to confess to being his pimp or give us information on his whereabouts at the very least. Then, it's just a matter of verifying identities and we can book him. So, just keep him with you for now and I will keep posted on anything new I find out. We will get this under control some way or another."
"Alright, but call me if you need anything at all," he said.
"I will," she said, smiling faintly. "Thanks for coming in."
"You're welcome," Seunghyun said, worries still colonizing in his body. He opened the door and then started towards his office so he could go get Jiyong.
Seunghyun felt his sense of burden deepen. If there was one thing he learned from being in law enforcement, it was that anyone could be ruthless and willing to do anything to get what they want. He didn't want to risk anyone getting hurt, mostly Jiyong. But he was starting to realize that the longer he kept up his lies, that might be inevitable.
