It was yet another sleepless night for Seunghyun. But this time it wasn't because he was lonely or even sad; that was far from what he was feeling now. The reason behind Seunghyun's lack of sleep was solely based on one thing: his worries. Seunghyun had been too busy worrying about the truth he was hiding to even close his eyes. He knew the truth would eventually come out and when it did, it would destroy everything in its path.

After mustering up enough energy, Seunghyun rose from the bed and then proceeded to exit his room. A rather appealing aroma swirled and floated through the atmosphere and the faint sound of music hit his ears as soon as he opened the door. The further out he walked, the louder the music got and the more appealing the smell became to Seunghyun. When he finally step foot in the small area that separated the living room and the kitchen, he saw Jiyong cooking away and humming happily as he did so.

The sight made Seunghyun grow a smile as he leaned against one of the walls, just taking a few moments to observe the man in front of his eyes. It was then that he realized just how much risk his secret held. Not only was he playing with his own happiness, but Seunghyun also held Jiyong's happiness and trust in his hands, and ruining that was the last thing he wanted to do.

"Having fun?" Seunghyun said, the same smile occupying his lips, as he walked into the kitchen, Jiyong, due to the abrupt sound of the elder's voice, jumped a little before he turned around to meet his eyes.

"O-Oh...yeah," Jiyong replied, still trying to recover from the surprise. Seunghyun chuckled a little at the younger male's cuteness, taking a few more steps towards him. "I just, uh, I felt kind of bad because you've done so much for me and all I've done is sit around and take up your space."

"Yong, I thought I told you that all you had to was breathe," Seunghyun said as he snaked his long arms around the shorter's waist, resting his chin on his shoulder.

Jiyong smiled. "I know, but I want to do more than just breathe. Just breathing is boring." Seunghyun chuckled. "Besides, it's not every day that I meet people I think are genuinely nice, so consider this a symbol of my trust and gratitude."

Seunghyun used a smile to hide his guilt."Fine, just don't overdo it. There's no need to," he said, pecking Jiyong's cheek with a feathery kiss. Jiyong smiled again and nodded. Right as Seunghyun was about to walk away, Jiyong spoke again.

"You know..." he said, the sound of his voice making the elder stop and turn around. Jiyong turned too, glancing up at Seunghyun a few times before he could get the rest of his words out. "You don't have to call me Yong anymore. That was just a name I gave you to protect myself, but I don't feel like I need to do that anymore."

"Alright," Seunghyun replied slowly, swallowing. "W-What should I call you?"

"Jiyong," he answered and Seunghyun swore he felt ten more weights being added to his shoulders.

"Jiyong it is," he replied, managing to put on a smile. The younger male smiled back at him. "Have you ever been on a date before, Jiyong?" Seunghyun asked after a few seconds of silence passed. "Like a proper, no expectations kind of date."

"Not in a long time," Jiyong said, shifting around so he could give Seunghyun his breakfast. "Why? Are you still trying to find out every single, descriptive detail of my life?"

"Not yet," Seunghyun said, earning a baffled look from Jiyong. "I'm saving all those questions for our date tonight." Jiyong, who had previously turned back around to face the stove, shifted back once again to see Seunghyun sitting there with a smug smile on his lips as he chewed.

"Really? Out of all the possible ways to ask someone out you went for that one?" he said, a faint and amused smirk painted on.

"Yep and it's guaranteed to work every time," Seunghyun said with a single nod of his head.

"Oh, is it now?" Jiyong said, turning back around again. "Well, I guess we'll just have to see about that."

Seunghyun grinned. "Yes, we will."

~~~~~~~~
"Ji, are you ready yet?" Seunghyun called from the living room as he checked the time for the third time. "It's almost quarter to seven."
"Well, I'm sorry if my perfection doesn't come naturally," Jiyong said, his voice equally as loud as Seunghyun's.
"Oh, give me a break." Seunghyun chuckled as he rolled his eyes. "You're just saying that so I'll reject it and compliment you, therefore boosting your confidence and confirming to you what you already know is true." Jiyong stuck his head out of the bathroom and half glared at Seunghyun, who was simply smirking.
"You do know that you sound like a smart ass sometimes, don't you?" he said, starting to lose control of the grin that was slowly stretching itself across his lips.
"Yes," Seunghyun said with a nod. "I know that very well. I think it's one of my more appealing traits, personally."
"Well, I don't," Jiyong said, earning a laugh from the elder as he disappeared back into the bathroom. "I think I'd prefer it if you just sat there and agreed to everything I said."
"I think you got stuck with the wrong person then." Jiyong peeked his head back out for a few seconds and stuck his tongue out at Seunghyun before pulling it back. Seunghyun let out another chuckle and straightened his own clothes out a bit.
About a minute or so later, Jiyong finally shut the bathroom light off and stepped out of the bathroom. Since Seunghyun choose a more laid-back restaurant as the setting for their first date, Jiyong decided to plan his clothes accordingly: a simple pair of jeans and a white long sleeve shirt.
"Finally," Seunghyun said jokingly as he stood up and walked around the couch, his steps drawing closer to the younger.
"Hey." Jiyong hit Seunghyun lightly on the chest. "In case you haven't noticed, my outfits must coordinate, which is a process that takes careful planning and lots of time."
"That took time?" Seunghyun said with a faint grin as he looked at Jiyong, who had now walked past him in order to put his shoes on. "I could have put that together in half the time it took you to get ready."
"That's because you lack in the area of fashion sense," Jiyong said as he bent over a little to slip each shoe on. "True fashion experts have no sense of time."
"Who's the smart ass now, huh?" Seunghyun teased, causing Jiyong to roll his eyes as a smirk showed itself to Seunghyun.
"It doesn't matter who the smart ass is, smart ass, because I'm hungry and that is all that matters right now," Jiyong said, stuffing his phone in his pocket before he headed for the door.
"I'm really starting to miss the shy Jiyong," Seunghyun said with a light sigh, grabbing his car keys off the counter and following after Jiyong. The younger male let out a loud laugh, temporarily throwing his head back, and then they began the journey to the restaurant.
During dinner, Seunghyun and Jiyong talked about practically everything: from their school days to their favorite movies. Though their interests seemed to come from opposite sides of the spectrum, there was still this invisible string that was being sewn in between them, binding one male to the other.
Seunghyun hoped the truth wouldn't sever it.
