We settled quickly buy a set of large stones. Food was passed around as we all found our places around a fire. Kili, Fili and Ori decided to sit next to me. I was between the brothers and Ori was off to the side. It felt strange to be sandwiched between the brothers, especially with Kili sitting strangely close.

"You know I've been wondering..does your world have magic?" Fili inquired.

"Um..."I tried to hide a mischievous smile before I sat forward a bit. "We have a bit..."

"Really? Do you know any? Can you show us?" Ori said, seeming to bounce excitedly.

"Sure.." I got to my knees and set myself up to make it look like I can pull off my thumb. "You watching? Because this is difficult. Sometimes even dangerous. I'd hate for you to miss it.."

They all sat forward expectantly. I smiled before I watched my hands intently, as I separated my thumb I made a popping sound with my mouth. Ori sat there shocked but I could tell I hadn't fooled the brothers. They smiled none the less. I suck my thumb back in place, making another pop before pulling my hands way, my fingers dancing.

"Wow! What kind of magic is that? How do you do it?" Ori asked.

"Illusion magic. And I can't tell you how, wizards and witches in our world hold their secrets and never let anyone know." I said sitting back down against the rock.

"You know I think I've seen that kind of magic before..." Kili said.

Ori was intrigued and listened intently as Kili began to tell stories of some of his travels. Fili would pitch in with his own story from time to time. It was fun, and it felt like I had gotten closer to them. Made friends with them. Though eventually only Kili and I were left away. Even Thorin and the others were out. I was beginning to doze off, but I just couldn't get comfortable.

"Here...you can lay on me. I need to stay up and keep watch anyway." Kili said patting his leg.

Great...my movie crush was inviting me to lay my head on his leg. I felt my cheeks heat. Would this be normal behavior here maybe? I internally shook my head. Coma dream. Coma dream.

"Oh...thanks." I said laying my head in his lap.

Kili smiled down at me before looking up at the sky with a deep satisfied sigh. I too let out a sigh before finally closing my eyes and drifting into sleep.

The next few days were the same. Travel and rest. Sitting down and getting to know everyone a little more, trading stories. I honestly never felt more at home. That yearning for something more seemed to finally be satisfied, the same way it was watching the movies. Or at least as much as it could be. Watching the movies would satisfy but not before making me want this even more. Now I had it. But if this really is a coma dream...then I'll never be ready to let it go.
