We had just fought our way past the hoard of goblins that held us before we followed Gandalf  down what seemed like random paths. I was in the back jumping over goblin bodies and slashing at anything chasing us, which was a lot. The shrieking of the goblins were harsh against my ears. I let out a yelp as I nearly tripped. As I righted myself a hand gripped mine tightly pulling me along. I had looked to see it was Kili. If I wasn't already hot from running I'm sure I would have felt my cheek heat up.

My fan girl moment ended quickly as we approached a bridge that was already starting to fall apart, but as Gandalf hopped on a rope was cut and it began to swing. I cursed under my breath. Did it have to be that accurate to the movies? My heart skipped a bit as we approached. Gandalf, Balin, Dwalin, Bifur, Bofur ,and Oin had gotten past.

"Come on!" Kili said pulling me along.

I wanted to slow down but my I pushed myself to run fast jumping  on with Kili. My knees hit the wood and I was up and making the next jump before my heart had a chance to protect. We kept running until a the King stopped on a bridge. My heart pounded in my ears, deafening out the Kings snide remarks towards Gandalf. But I smiled breathlessly as Gandalf cut his throat.

The bridge we were on broke under his weight and we plummeted. I couldn't tell if I had screamed or not, but I made sure when we landed I rolled off the to the side.  I did so just in time too, The Goblin king landed making the Dwarves groan.

"We have to go..." I groaned, getting up.

"The goblins...there's too many!" Dwalin said.

"This way! hurry!" Gandalf rushed us along.

I helped pull everyone up and ran with them, Gandalf quickly leading us out. We quickly made it to a lightly forested area. I could feel my anxiety grow. The orc's...they'd be here soon.

Gandalf started counting us as Thorin stormed over to me.

"You're an elf?" Thorin growled. "Why would you hide this? Why would you cut your ears?"

"I didn't! My ears have been this way since I could remember! I'm human!" I growled, trying to catch my breath.

"And you knew the goblins would capture us! Why didn't you tell me?"

"Would you have listened?" I asked, crossing my arms.

"What?" Thorin said a bit taken aback.

"Would you have listened? I ask this because you gave the distinct impression that you didn't believe a word I said while we were o. The mountain. When I said we needed shelter! If you don't trust me that's fine, you don't have to.  But you can at least take what I say into consideration. Because what's going to happen is in a few minutes Bilbo is going to show up. Then so will the Orcs. Then the eagles will fly us away. Then we'll meet this cool guy named Beorn. He'll hate you, but he'll help you. Only to have Gandalf leave just as we get to Mirkwood where we'll get lost and get attacked by giant spiders and then be saved and captured by the elves....should I continue?"  I managed to say a bit harshly.

Thorin lowered his head  and turned away.

"Where is Bilbo? May I ask?" Gandalf said, stepping forward.

"Gone." Thorin said, cutting me off. "I took his chance too leave and took it. He's thought of nothing but his warm hearth since he left it."

I crossed my arms and smirked, waiting for the moment. Thorin had looked back to me and the look in his eyes said it all.

"Nope! I'm here." Bilbo said from behind me.

Gandalf smiled and watched me as I stepped away. Bilbo gave his little speech as Gandalf's smile faded.

"How long did you say we have before the orcs get here?" Gandalf asked looking up at the mountain.

"My final answer...run. Now!" I said taking off down the hill just as howl sounded.

The dwarves didn't hesitate to follow. Once we reached the edge I climbed a tree.

Wait, what was I doing? They climbed trees in the movie and that didn't go so well. The dwarves followed suit just as a massive warg tried jumping and reaching me in the tree. My hands stung from my grip to the tree.  The other trees started falling in on each other as they were savagely attacked by wargs. The one after me seemed to find the trees full of dwarves more interesting and left me alone. Gandalf started handing them flaming pine cones, they threw them taking even more attention off me. I smiled but then their tree fell, hanging over the edge of the cliff.

After a few moments I seemed to go unnoticed. Then Azog came, a deadly smirk pointed to Thorin. I internally kicked myself for not grabbing a bow, I could end half are problems right now if I had.

Azog said something foreign, addressing Thorin. And all I could do was watch. But I had to do something. I jumped down as Azong tossed Thorin like he was nothing. I quickly rushed over to the tree and pulled Bilbo up. He paused a moment but ran to Thorin without further hesitation. I pulled up more of them and they took off to Thorin's aid.

I tried balancing my way towards Gandalf but he stopped me.

"No, don't worry about us, help Thorin!" Gandalf said.

I paused glancing to Thorin and the dwarves and decidedly ran towards them, sword at the ready.
