"We can't put Annabelle in jail for these murders, her physical body may have been there. But mentally in her head she was asleep in bed".

"I won't have it, she's a murderer". I slam my fists onto the table not caring about the stares I got the Chief obviously startled by my response to his statement. "You're out of control Daniels, you've been awake for nearly 48 hours. You haven't let me put her in lock up and you've had no sleep. We need to take some time to get sleep and clear our...well your head". I throw my notepad down onto the ground, trying to express my frustration.

"You saw it, I saw it. Everyone can see by watching she's not right. Sarah and Marie are very much alive inside of her and she needs HELP not to be convicted of crimes she didn't even know was happening. Yes she was there for the first but everything after that she has no knowledge of. How can you actually make her go to jail for something like that". Anger was boiling deep down, I wanted nothing more then to help Annabelle. Putting her in jail without the correct help would only make her go deeper in her conscious and unconscious mind, setting Marie and Sarah deeper into her mind set. Giving them room to grow and potentially take complete control of her.

"If I do say". My head turned towards the graying man that was sitting in the back of the room, "Chief Matthews I would really like to take a chance and speak with this young lady. Daniels seems extremely set on her being a case of multiply personalities". I silently thanked him from across the room, Dr.Robert Mills a great man and has helped many with mental diversions.

"And you believe she doesn't belong in jail"? Chief ignored my suddenly standing body, ready to yell. All he ever wants yo do is send someone to jail. We have to help those that need it don't we.

"I believe if it's as serious as it sounds even if we get a trial out of this case, we'll easily have an insanity plea and well sir, she'll be shipped to some kind of facility. I personally want her at my hospital where I can do her medication and counseling". A smirk fell into place on my face, I wanted to hoop and holler and thank Dr.Mills but that wouldn't be professional. Instead I stood silently and waited for a reply.

"When do you want to talk to her"?

"When Daniels is ready to lead the way". I picked up my notebook from the floor and walked steadily out of the door, Dr.Mills taking great insight and followed me right along. When we reached the door to the interrogation room I turned and faced Dr.Mills.

"I want you to step into the viewing room until I get you. I'm going to have to talk to them first before bringing you in there". He didn't even need an explanation he quietly stepped into the room and watched through the two way mirror.

"Ms.Daniels you're back". Marie stopped pacing long enough to face me, then continued. "You know I was getting worried you gave up or something. I was just telling Sarah you might not be up for the job in helping Annabelle after all". I gave a light chuckle before sitting down.

"I would like a friend talk to Annabelle please".

"A friend".

"Yes Marie, a friend" .

"Another detective"?

"Possibly".

Marie's feet stopped moving as she turned and faced me, "you're giving up on us are you"? She grabbed the chair and threw it against the wall expressing her own frustration.

"No one is giving up on you. Now if you would grab the chair and take a seat I'll explain, but not until this attitude and hostility stops". I give a smirk as she walked to retrieve the chair, the shoe was on the other foot now. She had the questions and I had the answers.

"Ms.Daniels". She plopped into the chair with her own smirk. "And also you haven't seen hostile Ms.Daniels, you don't want to see hostility from me".

"Well are you ready to listen now Marie"?

"Speak".

"You do or don't want to help Annabelle"? It was a question we both knew the answer to, but I had to show Dr.Mills what he was dealing with.

"Yes Ms.Daniels you should know this. We want every possibility to help Annabelle remain safe, even if it means we are no longer a part in her life". Marie was firm and she spoke with position and power.

"I have a doctor here, his name is Dr.Mills. he has helped many similar cases, even helping one man rid himself of 72 other personalities". I paused remembering how Sarah spoke with such sophistication and how Marie was a leader and that their personalities were as if they were genuinely 3 separate people. "You two are very much matured in her mind but he can help".

"You sure he can HELP". I nod my head fast knowing this man was the last one to help me, to tell everyone how Annabelle deserves to be at his hospital.

"Yes he can. And I know he will. He wants to speak with Annabelle".

"Say no more".

And with that the hardened face of fierceness slowly went to ease, and the expression of pure innocence pushed it's way through. I sat there know
