Chapter 12 / First day of class

[Xin Pov]

I don't remember much about yesterday. Just bits and pieces of events. Something about a dude and then me using Azure Prison.

'Man I was really tired'

Besides all that and the looming thought of me accidentally killing someone. It's my first day of class!

I'm so excited, after waiting for so long, I'm finally here and getting ready to learn. Well I learn on a daily basis but learning more is also good.

I walked in front of my classroom door and I stood there. 'This is finally happening huh?'.

It's too bad I couldn't be with Ash. He was a warrior and I was an all-rounder. Well whatever that means.

'I guess it's time to find out'

I opened the door and found myself in a gym-like room. The room was huge and open with several things littered across the floor. Some people were standing there and then they all turned to me.

'Remember they are not staring at you and you didn't kill anyone'. I started to walk towards them but their eyes showed no signs of backing down. Crap. 'I did kill someone didn't I'

When I started to get closer, I got slower and the slowly lowered my head. This is too much for me. They are all 'looking' at me.

I stopped in my tracks when someone spoke to me. "Hi there, you must be Xin. Nice to meet you,". The one who spoke was a dwarf. He had a beard and light brown hair along with light green eyes.

"Nice to meet you too," I said a little but too quickly. You can't blame me, I think I killed someone and still went to class. Even after Ash told me I didn't kill anyone.

"It's alright just calm down. All of us are nervous too ya know,". I looked at the others and it was true, they were all shaking a bit and one even waved shyly.

"So I'm guessing Ash told you my name?" I asked the dwarf. "Yes he did, oh and my name is Gov,".

He raised his hand and I shook it. Ok, so far so good with class. "So where is the teacher?" I asked. I looked around but nobody seemed to speak up.

"Oh the teacher is running a little bit late. We just got a notification in our group chat that he overslept,". The class already had a group chat? Well that was quick.

"Speaking of which, would you mind if I took you phone for a bit?" Asked a girl. I looked and stared at her for a bit. Her mana is all concentrated into her chest area.

"Are you a homunculus?" I asked the girl. She shook her head and then said she was an android. I think my expression was a bit too obvious at that statement when Gov coughed behind me.

"So, the phone?" She learnt out her arm. "Oh right sorry, here you go,".

I gave her my phone and then suddenly some digital screens appeared out of thin air. She swiped at it and then a notification popped up on my phone. She handed the phone back to me and then I saw that I was connected to a group chat.

Tr: Sorry kiddos I overslept :P . Just wait there until I can get my express transport.

"Woah, that's cool," I looked at her and then realised something. "How did you unlock my phone?".

She turned around and then muttered something along the lines of:

'What a cute password'

I couldn't get a word in because the centre of the room started to glow white. Something jumped out and then feathers started to fall from the ceiling.

I looked at that something and then found myself staring at an angel. He had a bowl cut and his hair was black. His eyes were an icy blue and his clothes were white with golden linings.

Something was hanging off of him and then it jumped down and then waved at us.

"Hey there kiddos, ready for some learning?" He shouted at us. And then he turned around and waved to the angel.

"See ya later Mel, don't worry I owe you one,". The angel grumbled and then flew back into the shining centre of the room and then vanished.

The man who had white hair and very red eyes looked at us and then saluted.

"Nice to meet you all! My name is Solomon a.k.a. Number 12, Aloof Reincarnate,"

I heard some audible sighs and then wondered what was wrong. I looked at the people and only some of them did that while the rest was clueless. Did they know him?

"So uhm uncle, why are you here?" Asked a the android. I kinda gasped a bit but I remembered to hide it the best I could. 'What does she mean uncle?'

"Ah my little Jaqy, to answer that question of yours, I'm your teacher,". I then heard groans from the ones that sighed earlier. Am I not getting something here?

"Ok so can someone explain what is going on here?" Gov said. He turned to a boy and then asked, "Why are you sighing and groaning anyway?"

"Well you see uncle over here has the 'Aloof' title. He literally just does whatever he wants and most of it involves being lazy," he then continued on about how this particular overseer was known to be very troublesome many many times.

"Ok that explains that but why do you call him uncle?" Gov asked. "Well you see, since half of us were raised in the academy. We see the overseers a lot more than usual people,"

"That and also the fact that this person in particular is like family to us," he finished.

"I heard most of that and I was quite moved to tears," he swiped a fake tear under his eyes. "Anyway before I start to begin the lesson anyone have any questions,"

I had multiple. A lot. In fact an infinite amount of questions. But I think I should start with some of the easier ones.

"Who was that angel just now?". He looked at me and then gave me a suprised look. And then nodded and answered my question.

"That person was Number 2, Righteous Archangel. Also known as Melchizedek," and then he asked me a question. "Did you see how he looked like?"

I nodded and then described the angel. He then smirked and then patted my head.

"Oh you are gonna be a fun one to teach alright,". He then started to look over everyone in the room and then snapped his fingers.

Memories of a foreign land

Suddenly all of us was sitting on a chair and a big table appeared out of nowhere. There was a big white board behind Solomon and then he pulled out a laser pointer from his pocket.

He pointed the laser onto the white board and then letters and drawings started to appear out of thin air.

From nothing, something is born

The text started to move around on the whiteboard to create an image of a flower and then roman numeral for twelve, was placed inside that flower.

"Enough questions for now then. Let class begin,"
