I'll try to give you a good chapter but I
haven't written in a few weeks. I hope
you like it. I haven't been very motivated
to write lately and my account hasn't been very active.

Enjoy

"Great, now he's dead." Alaia huffs. The people in the room scoff at her. "What? I didn't do it!"

Scott checks his vital signs, all are positive. "Well, he's not dead. He just passed out."

A few Historians, two men, a woman and a teenage girl gather around his collapsed body. The woman asks if they need any help. "What can we do?" She asks, her arm around the younger girl. They look sincere.

"There's not much we can do if this has to do with the past." Alaia says. "If he's being rewritten, it's all in the past. We have to live with whatever happens."

"We can still hope though!" Patrick says furiously and coughs into his sleeve.

"Yeah, whatever." Alaia responds.

"Alaia!" Scott yells.

"Yes?" She asks, grinning.

"Don't you care about what happens to him? He's still a Historian, just like yourself!" One of the men blurt out.

"If you're all concerned, you pay for his funeral when he dies. There's nothing we can do to save him, nothing!"

"We could-" Patrick starts. He rubs his forehead and turns his head to the floor. "No, we couldn't. Forget I said anything."

"What is it?" A few in the group ask.

"We could send someone back.." Patrick says hesitantly, looking up at everyone.

All is silent and their expressions are unreadable as he waits for a response. He doesn't get one. "It wasn't a good idea. I told you to forget it."

"No, it's a pretty good idea." Alaia says.

"Who though? It wasn't very thought out." He sounds ashamed.

"Why not you?"

"Huh?"

"Why don't you go back? You know plenty about what's going wrong."

"No, actually, I don't."

"Of course you don't! Well you know the most about that man than any of us!" Alaia raises her voice.

"No need to get heated about this, just send someone back!" Scott yells.

"Fine, I'll go!" Alaia exclaims.

"Wait!" Daniel's eyes burst open and he sits up, shaking. "It can't be her. It can't be Alaia!"

They gather around him and help him lay down again. "Why not?" Alaia asks.

"Bring him some water!" Scott orders anyone in the group indirectly.

The teenage girl scurries off to get a bottle of water for Daniel.

"Am I the only one who finds it strange the way he just popped outta bed like that?" Scott asks, sitting at the edge of the bed as Daniel catches his breath and tightly twirls his hair at their tips, clutching every strand.

"It has to Avalin. It has to be.." He blinks his eyes shut, falling back into a deep sleep.
