Daniel taps his thumb on his knee as they near Jasmine's house. He had no definite answer as to if they'll even find Patsy there. He is only assuming.
"You know, I've thought you might come around sometime. No more resisting?" Reva asks.
Daniel thinks for a moment. It's not long before he has made his decision."Yes, we are allies. Can I get these handcuffs off my wrist now please?" He waves his hand attached to the car door.
"Hm, I'd say you deserve as much." Reva pushes her wheel forwards and reaches in her coat pocket for a key. She waves it in the air and gives it to him.
Reva focuses back onto the road then glances over at Daniel to see his gratified look. She smiles and turns the wheel. The car comes to a slow halt in an ally a block away from Jasmine's house.
Daniel opens his door first, clasping his bullet wound, just below his shoulder. Reva gets out just after, an obvious gun tucked into the back of her dark pants.
"You better learn to trust me. I know you haven't yet. It's a just big hoax." Reva says with her round blue eyes staring into Daniel's brown eyes. Reva taps his nose and leans back, hands on her hips, laughing.
Daniel points at his arm and looks at her. "This is why I don't trust you!"
"Sorry" She says sarcastically. "I didn't know if you were a threat or not yet!"
"Well, I don't forgive you just yet. Prove yourself trustworthy and I'll give you my trust. If you betray this small act of trust, I'll betray you!"
Daniel warns.
"Fine, deal. Trust for trust, betrayal for betrayal." Reva repeats annoyingly. She pushes back her straight brown hair behind her shoulders and starts walking towards Jasmine's house.
Daniel follows far behind, still in pain from his shot. Reva doesn't want him to wander off, so she tugs him forward. He now stands in front of her by a few feet.
"You could always smile, maybe it wouldn't hurt?" Reva offers with a grim smile.
"Yeah, I don't think so. Not until this, whatever this is, is settled." Daniel says in frustration.
"Just have a brief matter that must be settled." She smiles."Maybe I'll tell you some secrets in the future."
"Whatever that means." He replies. "You're crazy, did you know that?"
"The one and the only." She smiles and he can't help but laugh. "See! That wasn't so hard! I think we will get along just fine."
He smiles, he just can't grasp the fact that he is trusting a strange person who not only carries a loaded advanced weapon, but shot him with it.
But, he doesn't care.
He decides he will trust her, he will. Patsy is a criminal and must be dealt with.
As they approach the door, Daniel feels a sense of pride; he feels like he is putting things right. But is he really?
