“Save her Jimin, save our mate” Jimin’s trembling hands caressed your face, letting his tears wet your cheeks. “Mi-Mine” he stammered in his words. A loud thump being heard. Yoongi laid unconscious on the ground, his hand clutching his chest. Seeing his condition everyone gasped.

“Get him to the hospital now,” Jimin demanded. Though you were dying in his arms yet he couldn’t let Yoongi die. After all, he played a major role in killing Yun and defeating the rogues army.

“Wake up love” he breathes out, running with you in his arms. His white shirt had turned blood red now. Your blood soaked his shirt. He was scared, fearing he’ll lose you. Barging in the hospital he growled at the doctors.

“SAVE MY MATE, YOU HAVE TO SAVE HER” the nurses who came to his assistance shivered in fear nodding their heads. “Alpha please place her on this stretcher and move back so we could treat her.”

Jimin didn’t want to leave you away from his sight, not even for a second but he had to in order to save his life. “SAVE HER OR I’LL BANISH YOU FROM MY PACK” glaring at the doctor who was checking your pulse he warned.

People usually beg to the doctor claiming them as their saviour who would take care of their loved one’s but in Jimin’s case it was entirely different he wanted you to be back safe and sound.

Sitting on the chair in front of the operating theatre he breathed out running a hand through his hair. Not at all acknowledging the dry blood that painted his skin because of carrying you here. It’s not like he would care anyways.

“That vampire” a few murmurs were heard soon followed by a group of nurses running up to Jimin. “Alpha, that vampire’s body disappeared after we treated him.” Jimin’s pupil dilated. “My Y/N” the worst thoughts clouded his brain ready to brage into the OT.

“Alpha you can’t enter inside” one of the male nurses softly whispered, scared to piss him off. “I know,” Jimin sighed, sitting back on the chair. “I just hope she’s fine.” Jimin faintly smiled at those who were giving sympathetic looks to him. “We have the most brave Beta in our pack don’t we?”

His eyes pooled with tears clenching his fists looking at the floor. They nodded their heads quickly walking away, giving him space knowing he didn’t wanna seem like a weak Alpha in front of them.

“Why did you have to do it Y/N? I fought with you, put you behind the bars yet you protected me. I don’t think I’ll ever be able to understand you. And you're my mate?”

His heart felt happy, knowing you belonged to him. But his brain was confused. How can you be his mate? Weren’t you Yoongi’s mate? “Did she lie about him being her mate?”

A sudden jealousy and the urge to protect you and hide you in his embrace pervaded his body. “I hope you answer all my questions once you wake up Y/N.”

“Please wake up soon. Fight with me, scold me for not trusting you. I did trust you, but the thought of Yun marrying you didn’t settle well with me so I ended up sending you to prison, at least in that way you’d be safe and sound.”

“I promise to bring back your dignity and pride you lost because of me and my pack members. Don’t give up on yourself please.”

His face was hidden in his palms crying silently. The old myths that had been written for Alphas had to be followed by him. Never show up your weak side in front of anyone, be it even your mate. But what if your mate is dying?

Do you still have to pretend to be strong to satisfy the old age rituals and not let people mock you? If this was for some other day, Jimin wouldn’t have shown his weak and feeble side in front of anyone.  

But today was different. He finally found his mate, however it came with a price. You gave up your life to save him.

-THREE HOURS LATER-

The room of the OT was finally opened. Doctors emerging out one by one. He stood up rushing towards them. “How is she?” Jimin straightforwardly asked.

“She’s fine, it’s a miracle that she survived such injuries. If it were for any other wolf they wouldn’t have probably survived it. She’ll be up anytime soon seeing through the speed she’s recovering at.”

His heart that had cried and bled in agony finally found some relief hearing you were fine. “We'll be transferring her to the normal ward so you could meet her there.” Passing him a genuine smile and a respectful bow he walked away. Jimin didn’t fail to reciprocate his actions.

-THE NEXT DAY-

You woke up sitting straight with a blank face. Jimin was happy seeing you all well and healthy. A bandage was wrapped around your head, with a red spot dampening the cloth. His heart clenched looking at your state. Taking a seat beside you he tried holding your hand but you hid it under the blanket.

“Where’s Yoongi?” These were the first words leaving your mouth. Jimin did not expect this question from you. “Why do you care about him?” He asked through his gritted teeth. He was grateful for whatever Yoongi did today for his pack.

But the idea of his mate loving another man didn’t settle with him. A scoff scarpered from your throat chuckling bitterly. “Why would I care? Why do you wolves have to be so shameless? He protected your pack and even you Alpha.”

“Yet you have the audacity to ask why I care about him? Because he’s my fucking love, my mate before he helped your pack out. Now tell me where is my mate? If you don’t tell me it’s fine, I’ll search for him by myself.”

You tried getting out of your bed. Jimin held your shoulders looking at you intensely. “Your mine, stop pretending Yoongi Hyung is your mate. I’m grateful to him, but I can never share what’s mine. Especially you.” Harshly pushing his hands off your shoulders you scowl at him in displeasement.

“I can never be yours. Don’t you ever claim me as your mate. I only have one mate and that’s MIN YOONGI, my beloved. I’m done being your Beta. I shall leave your pack and live happily with my mate.”

His eyes turned pitch black hearing your words. “You cannot leave me, you belong to me. We are meant to love each other. You've mistaken him as your mate.” You closed your eyes to calm yourself down.

Touching your bracelet, to not burst out but felt nothing. A pang struck your heart, fear obscuring each and every cell of your body. “No this can’t happen. I can’t lose it. No wonder he’s claiming me as his mate, he found out.”

“Fine, until my love is back I’ll stay back but don’t hope for any sort of love from me. Neither am I your pack member or one among you.” A smile curved up Jimin’s lips nodding his head spreading his arms to bring you in his embrace.

You turned your head away pulling your palm out. “Don’t touch me” you warned him beforehand.  He smiled sadly but didn’t proceed any further.

“I’ll win your heart again Y/N believe me. By the time Yoongi Hyung would be back you’d be mine. I’ll mark you as mine letting the world know, you belong to me and only me.”
