First day back

The first day back to school after a long week started off with that dreaded sound blaring from the alarm clock on the bedside table indicating it was time to get up, that noise is every teenagers worse nightmare, that noise only meant one thing, time to get up to go to hell also known as school

Why did school have to start at 7?

After 3 loud beeps from my alarm clock, I finally shut it off and got out of bed, then that smell that I love so much travelled up the stairs, so I went down and greeted my mother and father with hugs, I was lucky to have two parents that loved me, mum always made me breakfast before school which I always thanked her for because I definitely wouldn't have time if I had to do it

Y/N: Good morning mother, good morning father

Dad: Good morning princess

Mum: Good morning sweetie, here is your breakfast

Y/N: Thanks Mum

My Father is a top lawyer who works with Mr Wyler Jake's Father, which means his schedule is always busy, but he always makes sure he has time for family, my mother is a housewife, which is very 1950s as women can be as successful as men now, but she loves being a housewife and a mother

Dad: Are you excited to go back to school princess?

Y/N: For my studies, yes, for the people, no

Dad: You'll be okay princess

Mum: Prom is coming up soon, are you going to go with anybody?

Y/N: I don't think so mum

Mum: Why not, I bet there are plenty of boys who will love to go with

Y/N: I'm just not interested mum

Dad: What about Wyler's son? what was his name, um jack?

Y/N: You mean Jake

Dad: That's the one

Y/N: God no, he is a stereotypical jock who sleeps around, and he has a girlfriend who just so happens to be the head cheerleader Priscilla

Dad: Priscilla? What kind of name is that she sounds like a stripper?

Y/N: Wouldn't be surprised if she does become one in the future

Mum: Finish up your breakfast sweetie, you need to get ready for school

Y/N: Well, I am all done now, thanks again for breakfast mum

Mum: No problem sweetie

I got ready for school, once all my tasks for the morning were done, I said goodbye to my parents and got in my car and made my way to school

I got to school and made my way to my locker, and at that exact moment at 6:45 people started talking about the most popular guy at school Jake Wyler, my family and I have known the Wyler's for years as our fathers work together, as little kids me and Jake were close and always played together, but not long after we started middle school we went our separate ways, Jake became the popular guy whilst I was just an ordinary girl who didn't get noticed

Girl 1: Oh, my god, it's Jake

I looked over to where the girl said his name, and of course, he was doing what he always does, looking at the picture of himself on the wall, and then at the picture of him looking at the picture on the wall, our school was so obsessed with him I didn't understand it

Girl 1: Hi stud

Girl 2: Hi Jake

Girl 3: I love that thing he does with his eyebrows

Girl 2: And those sideburns

Girl 4: Oh, my god, there's Jake, he's so popular

Girl 3: He just looked at me

Tiff: Here Jake, you can keep it

Jake: Tiff

Melanie: Hi, Jake, It's all wet

Jake: Melanie

Arthur: Hey Jake

Jake: Hey Arthur

Katie: Hey Y/N

Y/N: Hey Katie

Hold up let me introduce you to Katie, Katie is my best friend, we've been best friends since the first day of kindergarten, even though she has a crazy obsession with Jake, I still love her I wouldn't have survived without her

Katie: How was your spring break?

Y/N: Good, we went to my grandma's inn in Vermont

Katie: That's nice, how's your grandma, I miss her

Y/N: She's good, she misses you to, how was your spring break?

Katie: I spent my entire spring break working in a movie theatre

Y/N: That sucks

Katie: It's okay, I met a few cute boys

Y/N: Lucky you, well, I've got to get to class, see you in English later

Katie: See you in English
