Recap:
Hey! I don't know what you do or how you do but I can't let Brendon go away. I screamed at her.

She was gone but I couldn't stop feeling helpless.
I heard someone calling my name reluctantly and it was Amy.

I had to lock her in the bathroom because I didn't want her to meet Katie or ask me any questions.
*

Now the book was gone too! I couldn't read about the black wizards.

I just felt so tired and unworthy.

I had to meet Brendon at 6 but my mind didn't feel like dressing up at all. I thought of applying the mascara only.

The crest of the moon almost veiled the evening.
The sky was a little white-ish and the stars made a constellation.
Yes, it was a small version of Draco. Oh well, Draco is a type of dragon constellation.

Yes, I was all dressed to kill but was still standing by the street alone.

Brendon didn't show up. It was already 15 minutes past 7 and I was standing there, all spruced up.

The traffic light turned red and I saw a flock of people, passing over the road.

It's him, my inner Ally announced.
What
THE SHOES, she intruded.

She had never been that observant in her 16 years of life but never mind.

Yes, what I read in books were solely true, Our heart always wants the unachievable.

The traffic light swerved green and Brendon was almost by my side.

Here, you love iced coffee, Brendon extended his arm and gave me the frigid brown coffee.

The stillness made me awkward.
I could hear the cars beeping and grinding.

So where are we going? I asked him.

Somewhere really close to your house, he replied.

I knew we were going to the lake, I followed him until he ceased his legs.

*
It was all bleak. The lake was almost spotless and I could hear the crickets.

I know it's my all-time hang out place, but why are we here at this odd hour?
I persistently asked.

You might have come here a lot of times but never seen those right?
Brendon suggestively said while pointing his narrow finger towards the bushes and trunks around the lake.

I saw a glint of golden gleam. As I walked towards the light, I saw that it was a bunch of sparkles.

Yeah, they were fireflies.
The picturesque was magical. The night seemed young.

I was unable to catch those thin creatures. They were so elusive.

Brandon went ahead of me and tried snapping those elusive shimmers.

I was sure that he had absolutely nothing inside his veiny fist.

He wheeled around and gave me a mocking
chuckle. He lifted his unstructured eyebrows.

Ahh, why are you looking at me like that? It's better to keep your fist locked because you have nothing inside it. I cracked up.

Are you sure? I'm not bad at this, Brendon shoved the grass slightly.

He unfasten his fist and I was whirling my eyes here and there because I knew that it was empty.

WHAT THE FISH?! I heard Brendon screeching in surprise.
