Recap:
My hand went through him. I could sense the frosty air. I couldn't get hold of his body. It all made me tremble.

Soon Brendon's hand went on my inclined back and he glared at me.
I held his hand tight and instructed him to run away from that street.

Our hands were tangled. We rushed stronger than the wind.
Brendon didn't resist. He didn't ask me either.

I gasped and ceased.
I couldn't run further, maybe I was hallucinating, I thought to myself. I could feel the friction between our hands. No, it wasn't an electric surge of love but simply the salt which clasped between our hands.

Are you alright? Brendon queried.
My gaze met his and I was eyeing our hugged hands.
Do you want to leave- like Uhm, I stammered a lot.
Your hand? Brendon closed the question. He didn't fumble.

Not at all, he replied reluctantly.
What- ah Ally, DID YOU HEAR THAT? YOU'RE GOING TO GET HURT, LET'S GO HOME, My inner Ally barged in between.
You must be sound asleep by now, why are you still awake? I countered her sarcastic concern.

I was rolling my eyes in disgust when a little boy caught my awareness.
He was walking down the street and meandered his way towards the zebra cross.
It was green light and he was still strolling.

I unravelled my wrinkled hand, straightened it and ran to match his pace.

The time I went to the pedestrian, the bustling lights and screeches made by the cars made me go blind and deaf for a few seconds.

After a millisecond, my vision got sterilized and the boy vanished away. The gushed wind made me walk like a toddler. The cars were scuttling and making their way through the filthy road.

It was hard to keep my optics upright. I could see two small dots of sparkly golden light which made their way towards me.

The dots grew heftier and turned into a massive cluster of shiny glistens. My eyes almost closed after having a glimpse of the digit plate. It stimulated this information to my brain and I figured that it was an automobile.

The gush became powerful and heavier
And I chop down on the ground eventually.

I was on my knees, trying to contemplate my life or death situation.

I closed my eyes voluntarily.
The cold blaze turned into a warm squeeze.
The wind was obstructed. My eyes were too tired to unlock themselves but I felt a snuggly hand around my waist. It was wrapped around my body.

I could feel my body accelerating at a higher speed.
My eyes could see the colloidal particles in front of the headlights. The grey mist made me uncomfortable and I could see myself being draped around someone's body like a gift ribbon.

We tumbled over the saturated road more than 3 times.
I never paid more attention to those smokey marbles and tiny stones, that lay on the path.

After every tumble, my head could feel the discomfort caused by those tiny, rusted rocks and edges.

Finally, we collapsed at the shelf of the concrete pathway.
I was on top.
I shook my eyes languidly.

It wasn't the amber apertures this time. I hoped it was him, but the marble eyes made it clear that it wasn't Brendon. I could vaguely anticipate the situation and figure it out. My eye muscles contracted and my conception became compact finally, I lost my awareness.

I couldn't feel anything, only the injury could make itself palpable. My eye vitals were relieved and I was able to unfold them. The comfort provided by the mattress was puzzling. Gradually, the ambiguity flew away and I could glimpse without any twinge.

I was in my room, laying on my tidy bed. There was a void in my memory. The last thing I could recollect was the street and Brendon's hand. After putting some pressure, I remembered how I fell on the alley while following a boy.

I swirled around and a creaking sound was made by the door.

Axon strolled in. I was too tired to think. He came and sat beside me.

I could see the moonlight clouding over his face. It was midnight and the stillness made me drag my blanket a little up.

No one broke the silence, but I was eager to know what happened.
Axon didn't look into my eyes, he didn't even have a word with me.
I searched for my phone and chimed in.
It was 3 am.
"Have I been sleeping all this time?"I gravely asked.
"Yes,"an answer came. Not from his jaw but from my mom's.
She was standing at the threshold. Her eyes convinced me that something had gone wrong.
They were dilated and voluptuous. Her watery eyes made a blink and I started looking away.

I could see Axon uncurling himself. He wished us good night and made his way out of our house.

Mom ran her hand through my hair and smoothed my forehead.
She turned away and wished me good night.

"Don't you want to know what happened, mom?" I lifted the question.

"It is not the right time, you look pale and weak. Sleep for the time being.
We can talk tomorrow." She said while draping off her tears.

The door was sealed and I was left to sleep.
Only if they knew I had a lot on my mind.

Brendon left me there lying for good, he didn't even drop a text, what is he, my mind pulled a lot of accusations.

I cried myself to bed and the moonlight waned.
