You let out a breath as you noticed Ayanna sit next to you on the park bench. Pushing up your sunglasses, you grabbed the hotdog that she was offering you. For a few moments, the two of you just sat in silence, eating. For a while, it was peaceful. Then suddenly, you lost your appetite. "We were gonna get married one day." You stared into the park, remembering all the times you and Gina would fool around here. "She said she was gonna take a break from this and we would've ran away together," you muttered, realising a shuddering sigh. "But now...now we can't." Turning your head towards Ayanna, you let the tears that had been building up fall. "I miss her. So much." The sergeant was quick to pull you into her, wrapping an arm around your shoulders. "Me too," she whispered, pressing a gentle kiss to your forehead. "Me too."
