Chapter 21

(Really long chapter coming up, I owe you guys!!)

Chloe's pov-

I quickly looked back to my starting position and concentrated on what I was doing.

I couldn't let Josh ruin this for me.

But I had this feeling that I had to do better because Josh was looking.

I don't know why but I just did.

It's annoying me how Josh just pops up everywhere I go, I mean I have my own life too.

The music starts and I put on my best facial expressions and hit every turn, every leap, every jump and every dance move the hardest that I ever have.

The words flow through me.

Well, if wishes were fishes.

The sea would be for love.

Every leap I did I hit them 100% harder than I usually do.

I think that this even has a chance of beating maddie.

I did my final pose with an ear to ear grin on my face.

I sashayed off of the stage and as soon as I stepped backstage, I was enveloped in a hug.

I looked up and saw paige.

"You did great!!"

Did I really do that good?

I started getting anxious about what Abby would say.

I heard all of the mums and abby talking and coming closer.

I stood still and all of the mums hugged me and told me how good I did.

Then it was abby.

She looked at me for a minute and then she wrapped me up in a huge hug.

I was surprised at first but then settled into the embrace.

"Chloe, that was the best you've ever danced, you did so good. I want that every week from you. Okay?" She said kindly.

I nodded my head and thanked her for being so kind.

She then walked off and flashed me a smile.

After she had gone I stood there for a minute.

I heard foot steps but looked down at my feet.

"Hey you did really good." He said in a soft voice.

He? You might say well I am talking about Joshua hyland.

"Um thanks."

Wow smart chloe smart.

"Well I guess we should be going back to the dressing room. I need to get dressed for the group dance." I said to get out of this very awkward situation.

"Yeah" he said.

We both walked back together and I couldn't help but notice that our hands brushed together a few times.

I got back in the dressing room and went behind the curtain to get dressed for the group dance.

Once I was behind the curtain I took a deep breath.

I then got changed into my dance costume.

It was a blue and black two piece.

It had frills in some places such as the bootie shorts it had a little frilly skirt thing and on the topic had frills in various places.

And to top the costume off it had little arm peices and spats.

I stepped out of the curtain and walked over to my dressing table right next to Paige's.

Paige was in the audience at the moment because she wasn't in the group dance and didn't have any dances.

I have no idea why.

But sitting next to me was Josh.

I sat down and picked up my blush.

He turned his chair closer to me.

I looked at him for a second but then went back to looking in the mirror.

"So" he said.

"So" I said.

"What do you want to talk about?" He asked.

"Let's play 20 questions!!" I said a bit too loudly.

Oops.

"What?" He said looking confused.

"I ask you 20 questions and you have to answer them and then you ask me 20 questions and I'll answer them." I explained.

"Oh ok but let's write them down." He said handing me a piece of paper.

"Yeah ok" I said. "But you first.

I kept doing my makeup because we still had 1 hour and 30 minutes before stage time.

I decide to start my list.

1. Favourite colour?
2. Favourite food?
3. Best friends- boys?
4. Best friends- girls?
5. If you had to ask out one person on our team who would it be?
6. If you had to describe me in one word what would it be?
7. If you had to describe your life in one word what would it be?
8. Favourite quote?
9. Who you like?
10. Favourite animal?
11.Favourite name?
12. What you want to be when you grow up?
13. Favourite part of the world?
14. Snog marry avoid? Kendall, Maddie and me?
15. Hobbies?
16. Sports you love playing?
17. Favourite book?
18. Favourite youtuber?
19. Least favourite sport?
20. Favourite dance style?

Had to top it off with a dance question!!

I looked over and saw that he was only up to ten so I continued doing my eyeliner.

I then moved onto mascara once I was done with my eyeliner.

When I was finished my makeup, I did my hair.

I teased it and then put my bow in.

When we noticed that everyone was ready Josh said "We shall continue this once we come back.

I nodded and got up.

I started walking towards the wings with the dream team.

Once they started announcing us we all looked at each other and smiled.

We pranced onstage.

We performed our dance perfectly with no one stuffing up.

We walked off stage and met everyone there.

Josh was standing there hugging all of the girls going down the line.

I was at the end.

When he finished hugging Nia who was next to me, he looked up and went to hug me.

He wrapped me up into a big warm hug.

I felt his cold hand on my bare back.

I could feel his nice warm shirt on my stomach.

I felt a connection like I belonged there.
