Chapter - 42

After the incident at lunch, it was as if Taehyung had lost his voice.

The man didn't want to listen to or talk to anyone. He could barely even make it through all the classes.

Soojin, knowing how much the revelations had affected her boyfriend, did try talking to him but was ignored heavily. Not that this bothered her, because she knew that Tae's mind was currently the biggest train wreck and getting over it wouldn't be the easiest task.

Knowing that the boy wouldn't speak up during school hours at least, Soojin promised to herself to go and talk to the Kim maknae as soon as school ends.

As any sane person would know, bottling it all up would only harm you and so the Kang maknae knew that she had to calm her boyfriend down before he takes any kind of extreme step.

Unfortunately for her, even before she could reach to Taehyung's class, the boy had gone back home.

Alarmed by this, the female quickly ran towards the Kim mansion. Without even waiting for the security checks, she pushed through the guards to enter the house.

As she walked in while calling out loud for her boyfriend, she was met with all the other Kim siblings. They were all seated on their grand sofa in their living room with a gloomy expression on their faces.

Hearing Soojin's voice ring through their ears, the three boys and their only sister looked up in unison.

Annoyed by how Soojin had entered without asking for any kinds of permission or going through the security checks, Jisoo shouted on the top of her voice,

"Kang Soojin how the hell did you enter OUR house without any permission? How did the guards even let you in? Is this all the basic decency that is left in you? What the hell do you think of yourself?"

Ignoring the harsh words that were sent her way, Soojin too, started shouting on the top of her lungs, voicing out her concerns for her beloved,

"Unnie for god sakes stop! I genuinely have no time for all this. I don't know if you have realised but Taehyung hasn't talked to a single soul after what happened at lunch today! All I'm here is for to check up on him!"

This sudden outburst stunned all the Kim siblings, but deep down they all knew that Soojin was the only one who could get Taehyung to talk.

"Please let me talk to him unnie."
Soojin said, her voice softened, laced with desperation.

Jisoo nodded knowing better to consider her brother's state than bashing on the Kang. Without even thinking about it twice, Jisoo told her to go and talk to the Kim maknae.

Taking the nod as an approval, the Kang Maknae zoomed over towards Taehyung's room.

Outside, Soojin softly knocked twice although she was left with nothing but silence. She then proceeded to knock harder on the huge door. Once again she was met with only pin drop silence. Of course the anxiety started to creep in, but Soojin decided to keep her calm and try once again.

Getting no response the second time too, she started banging the door as she shouted out Taehyung's name. Her voice held desperation to see her boyfriend and just talk for once.

All the loud banging, shouting and knocking was out in vain as Soojin received absolutely no reply from the other side.

Defeatedly, the girl slid down with her back in touch with the Kim maknae's door. She sat down with a thump, bought her knees close to her chest and put her head down.

Being the over-thinker Soojin was, her mind crossed all kinds of disturbing situations that could've been happening inside the room.

After what seemed like an eternity to Soojin, but in reality was two hours, she heard faint sniffling sounds.
