THE ACE

Chapter - 3

JUNGKOOK POV

To say that I'm nervous is an understatement. Amongst the five of us, i.e Eunwoo, Yugyeom, me, Soojin and Lisa; Soojin has always been the 'wise' one to give some of the best advices and so I trust her with this plan; the one that we're about to execute as my crush enters the cafè only to find it empty, you see, all the students are in on this ;)

I've had a crush on Lalisa for almost two years now, from the day Soojin introduced me to her when we both were in 9th grade till this day. She was quiet and cold back then but as I got to know her over the years, I realised that she's one hell of an independent, goofy, funny and the most beautiful woman. And yet, I could only gather so much courage to ask her out after two whole years.

Soojin has been one of my first friends in this school and today, we have a really strong bond. Me, Eunwoo and Yugyeom met each other during one of my family events and eventually also got to know that we go to the same school.

As time flew by, Eunwoo and Yugyeom grew feelings for each other and Eunwoo being Eunwoo was too shy to go confess this to him. So when I told this to Yugyeom on woo's behalf, he gave me the you-think-i-didnt-know-this look. So they have been committed to each other since an year now.

My hand Reached for the denim pocket to check for the black velvet box and indeed it was there, so yeah, I can't afford to mess this up.

I looked up at Soojin only to find her looking back at me, she then showed me a small thumbs up along with a reassuring smile while mouthing 'all the best'. I nodded and got up to enter the empty cafè; behind the girl with bangs as she wondered why noone was present at the cafeteria during lunch break.

I tapped her on the shoulder; she turned around and frowned at me,
"where are the others?" she asked,

I ignored her question and taking this as a cue that I have all her attention, I sat on one knee and took the velvet box out.

The blonde's eyes widened as they squinted between me and the box.

"Lalisa, I've had a huge crush on you since the day I met you, call it clichè but it's the truth. Will you be my girlfriend?"

With the last line, I opened the black velvet box to reveal a Swarovski diamond studded bracelet.
Everyone entered the cafeteria with confetti and balloons while hooting and shouting our names as she covered her mouth with her hands in shock, surprise and happiness.

"Oh my god kook, of course YESS !!"

she exclaimed while her cheeks went crimson red as a big smile was plastered on her face.

A small smile automatically appeared on my face upon seeing her happiness as I got up, took her hand in mine and clasped the bracelet around her wrist.

She then wrapped her arms around my neck with tears of joy in her brown orbs as everyone was cheering for us. The girl slowly whispered ,
"I like you so much kook"

"me too lali"

My eyes then met Soojin's as she was enjoying the whole scene with watery eyes while standing at the corner of a table.
I mouthed a 'thank you' to her as she gave me a small nod of satisfaction with a huge smile.

SOOJIN POV

After Jungkook's proposal to Lisa the couple decided to take rest of the day off to enjoy it with each other and go on a 'date'. Huh, who would want to willingly give up their single life !?

While thinking about Lali and kook's relationship I didn't realise that I had crossed my classroom and as I was about to turn on my heels to go back to my classroom, I spotted two lean figures at the end of the hallway, one being that of a tall guy and another, a red headed girl.
