Chapter 6 - The Tale of Multimouse

"So M'lady. Anything left to do tonight?"

Ladybug glances up at Chat Noir.

"I told you not to call me that," she says angrily.

"Fine bugaboo," Chat Noir says with a wink, "But I know you'll fall for me eventually,"

Ladybug turns away without saying anything.

"Wait, isn't that Ms. Mendelieve?" she asks, pointing to a screen. Chat Noir glances up at it.

"And tomorrow, get ready for another episode of Alternative Truth!" Alec says, "Our cast will have Ms. Medelieve! A science teacher at Françoise Dupont High School!"

"I wonder what she's talking about?" Chat Noir asks. Ladybug looks down at her yo-yo.

"Oh, patrol's over," she says. "Bug out!"

Chat Noir glances up.

"Bye!..."

Chat Noir stands up, dejected. Ladybug had barely talked to him the entire patrol.

Chat Noir had been shocked to discover he would be activated a lot during the year. He was to join Ladybug for nearly every battle, and patrol. He hadn't even been aware of Patrol until he'd been told.

But despite this, Chat Noir did most of the talking. It was like Ladybug didn't even want to talk to him at all.

They had fought a few akumas together, with Chat Noir constantly dropping a flirt, but either Ladybug didn't recognize it, or she was ignoring it. He couldn't figure out which on it was.

With a sigh, Chat Noir went back to his dorm.

"Welcome back from break," said Ms. Davies.

"But the break was only a week," said Ryuko, "It wasn't much of a break,"

"It was a break." said Ms. Davies sharply. Ryuko sank into her chair. "Now, let's move on with our lesson. Before break, I talked about how your powers can be upgraded, but we didn't know how. Well, everyone give a hand to Pegasus, because he helped Ladybug out over the break! He used his power, and Ladybug retrieved both the peacock miraculous, and managed to get her hands on the book that tells us how to upgrade your powers!"

Everyone clapped. King Monkey patted Pegasus on the back, and Carapace gave him a fist-bump.

"So today, we're going to talk about the new upgrades you'll all receive eventually," said Ms. Davies. Everyone hollered. This was exciting.

And hour later, everyone hung out in the cafeteria, watching the news.

"Over to you Ms. Mendelieve,"

"Thank you for having me," the heroes glanced up at their old teacher, who was on the screen. "Last week, I discovered proof of the existence of interdimensional creatures with incredible powers who can move through matter. These creatures seemed to enjoy eating different foods, and one of them kept coming back to this kind," She shows a video of her chasing something, "These creatures are apparently not filmable, but look," she zooms in on the cheese, and an invisible creature takes a bite out of the cheese,"

A few of the heroes gasped, when they realized what happened, and ran to the changing rooms. Chat Noir was among them.

"Plagg, was that you?" he asked.

"Oh c'mon, no one's going to believe her," says Plagg, "You're just like Sugarcube,"

"Sugarcube? Who's sugarcube?" Adrien asked.

"Tikki, Ladybug's kwami," Plagg gasped when he realized what he said.

"Wait, so you're saying the Tikki was nearby last week! Which means I probably know Ladybug already!" Adrien says.
