Chat Noir found his room and opened the door.

The room was pitch black, which he found unnerving. He flipped the light switch up.

"Hello?" he called into the darkness.

He walked in and closed the door.

"Claws in," he said, and he transformed.

His kwami landed on his shoulder.

"C'mon kid, give me cheese,"

"Plagg, I was only transformed. I didn't even use my power," he said.

"Adrien," Plagg groaned.

Adrien sighed but gave in. He pulled a piece of cheese out from inside his jacket and handed it to his kwami.

He began to unpack his stuff in the bedroom. He noticed that the other bedroom was completely empty. But he hadn't seen Ladybug at the orientation.

He walked out to the main room, and suddenly had the strangest feeling he was being watched.

Adrien jerked around, "Who's there?" he asked into the darkness, for the lights had gone off once more.

He heard movement. Then, someone landed on the ground. Adrien felt his face turn red.

Her hair was navy blue and held into pigtails with red ribbons, like an insect's antenna. Her eyes were bluebell, and hidden beneath a symmetrical mask, that looked like a ladybug's back. Her suit was red with black spots and went up to her neck. Her yo-yo, which everyone knew could purify akumas, was hung around her waist with red string.

Adrien was staring at Ladybug, the famous hero.

"Heh heh..." he laughed nervously, "So... we're roommates?..."

Ladybug stared daggers at him.

"Let me get something straight model boy," she said coldly. Adrien was surprised with how cold she was being, "We're only partners so that I can balance out your destruction. We aren't actually rooming together, and you'd be joking if you thought you would learn my identity. Remember, make a mistake, and you're out. You barely received your miraculous,"

Adrien stood still, frozen with fear. This was the amazing hero Ladybug? She seemed so much colder in person.

Ladybug turned on her heel and jumped out the window. Adrien ran to the window, but Ladybug had vanished.

"Why was she so mean?" he thought aloud.

"Makes sense," Plagg said, "She's had to deal with every villain on her own for a year. Normally heroes are given a partner, but Master Fu was worried about letting too many miraculous out at once,"

Adrien looked at him, "But aren't they all out right now?"

"This doesn't count kid," Plagg said, looking up from his camembert. "The miraculous are being used, but they aren't in the open all the time,"

"Huh,"

Adrien had stopped paying attention. His mind was working out ways to soften Ladybug's hard exterior, so he could start going out with her.

Rena Rouge and Carapace laughed as they entered their room.

"You do it first," Rena said.

"No, you," Carapace said.

"Fine," Rena said laughing. "We'll do it together,"

Carapace nodded.

"1, 2, 3, let's rest,"
