(10) Settling In

Chapter 10: Settling In

Carrie left me to unpack and so I did. I put all of my toiletries in my bathroom and then I hung all of the clothes that I had in the closet

Since I don't have any of my books or anything from the house set up yet I still have room to put some stuff like the art and the photographs on the walls but I don't have much room to put everything

So after I'm done unpacking my bags I put my bags under my bed and then go downstairs

When I go downstairs to eat dinner I don't see the boys that Carrie has been talking about so I sit down and eat dinner

I said "Where are the boys" Carrie said "their upstairs playing a video game. You'll meet them later"

Carrie said "Well Jezebel tell us about yourself. What do you like to do"

I smiled and said "Well I'm 17, I'm the youngest triplet I guess you could say, uhm I'm allergic to raw vegetables, I'm vegan, uhm I'm new to this whole foster family thing, my family and I were going to visit my grandparents in the nursing home when a drunk driver hit my mom and sister Veronicas side head on and killed my family instantly I only got minor scrapes and bruises," I said with tears rolling down my face

Then I continued "Uhm I play hockey, rugby, softball, football, and basketball. I think that's about it"

Carrie said "Wow that's a lot and I'm so sorry about what happened to your family no one deserves that"

Mike said "The school here has a great Basketball team I could set up a meeting with you and the coach if you wanted me to"

I smiled and said "omg really that would be great thank you, Mike"

After I got done eating I asked if I could be excused so I could get ready for bed. I put my plate in the sink and washed it along with my cup

Carrie said "Oh honey you don't have to do that I can get it" I smiled and said "It's okay I love cleaning. My sisters hated cleaning"

Carrie and Mike smiled at one another and then I said "Hey Carrie do you think we can bring those boxes in from outside"

Carrie said "Sure honey, why don't you go change into your night clothes, and me, Mike and the boys will bring them in so you can tell us where to put them"

I nodded okay and said "When you bring them in please be careful I have two boxes that are fragile"

They both nodded and I went upstairs to change. When I got inside my room I shut my door and locked it just so no one could come in

I Stripped out of my clothes from earlier today and threw them in the laundry basket in my bathroom

Leaving me in only my bra and panties. I go to the bathroom and turn on the shower

I let it get warm and then I strip out of my bra and panties and put them in the laundry basket and then step into the shower

I let the water run down on my skin making me feel warm. After my shower, I step out grab a towel that's in the towel basket, and wrap it around my body

I walk back into my room and put a new set of bra and panties on and then I put on my cropped pjs

I then go back downstairs and see Carrie, Mike, and I'm assuming their sons who may I add are about 5'10 and 5'8
