Chapter 30: What's this?

When we get back from the mall Mia drops me off and then I go inside and see that Mike and Carrie are waiting for me

I wave to them and then go sit down beside them

Carrie says "Did you have fun sweetheart"

I smiled and said "yea I had lots of fun"

Mike said "So we have some important news for you"

I looked at him and said "What's up"

Mike and Carrie were smiling and then Mike said "So we already talked to the boys about this and then we went to a lawyer and talked about it with him and now we're talking to you"

I nodded and said "What about" Carrie said "How would you like to be part of the family officially"

I smiled and said "You mean get adopted" Carrie and Mike smiled and they both nodded

Mike said "Yea we would love to adopt you" I smiled and said "What did the boys say"

"We said hell yea we would love for you to be our sister" I heard a voice say so I turned around and saw Aaron and Jakob standing there

I smiled and said "That's a really sweet offer but why would you want to adopt me? I'm a nobody"

Carrie and Mike smiled and then Carrie said "We want to adopt you because these past months have been the most amazing since you've been here. You've made this family complete and because we love you"

I smiled and said "Can I think about it? I mean don't get me wrong but I'm not sure if I wanna get adopted yet I mean I'm almost 18"

Carrie smiled a sad smile and said "Oh well of course honey take all the time you need"

Mike said "We need to let the Lawyer know something by the end of the week"

I nodded my head and said "I promise I'll think about it and let y'all know something. Night"

They both said night and then I went to my room and shut the door and then got in my pajamas, plugged in my phone, and went to bed

I went to sleep thinking about whether or not I wanted to be adopted

The next morning I woke up and smiled to myself getting dressed for the day. I put on a black crop top with my black, maroon, and white jacket along with my dark-colored ripped skinny jeans and then I paired them with my black strappy heels.

I then brushed my hair and then curled it. I then grabbed my phone and bag and walked out of my room

I went downstairs and told Carrie, Mike, and the boys we had something to do before we went to school

So we all hopped into Mike's car with all of them being blindfolded because I didn't want to see where I was taking them

When we arrived at the lawyer's office I said "Okay we're here but I want all of you to keep your blindfolds on and put in these earplugs" I gave everyone a pair and then we got out

I grabbed hold of Mike's hand who then grabbed hold of Carries who grabbed hold of Jakobs who grabbed hold of Aaron's

Then we went inside the building. I put my finger to my lips to let everyone know to be quiet so the Scottsdale's don't know where they are

I then called over the security guard and whispered in his ear

I said "Please don't be alarmed. Y'all aren't in any danger. The reason they are like that is because I have a surprise for them. I'm gonna take their earplugs out which is why I said for all of y'all to be quiet I don't want them to know we're here. Please go tell Mr. Dales that we are here but not to say anything when we walk inside his office"

The security guard nodded his head and then went to Mr. Dale's office to tell him

I let go of Mike's hand put my hand by his ear and took out the earplugs but told him to leave the blindfold on I then did the same thing to Carrie, Jakob, and Aaron

I then grabbed Mike's hand again and we walked towards Mr. Dale's office. I opened the door and poked my head in so he wouldn't be alarmed

He smiled and nodded his head for us to come in

I then opened the door the rest of the way and walked in along with Mike, Carrie, Jakob, and Aaron

I said to them "y'all may take off your blindfolds. We're here at the place I needed to take you to before school"

They took off their blindfolds and Mike said "Jezebel what are we doing here"

I said with a smile "I made my mind up"
