•Ashlyn's P.O.V.•

Loran and I didn't have our next class together, so I walked alone.

On my walk, the main varsity jock, Logan, jogged up to me.

"Hey." He said.

"Um hi?" I squeaked out. Logan never talks to outsiders like me.

"I'll carry your books." Logan said, grabbing my books.

"No thank you." I snatched them back and hugged them tight to my chest.

"I'll walk with you then." He followed me.

"Can you not? Why are you even talking to me?" I asked.

"Because you're hot." He said acting like it was a no duh thing.

Oh.

"Well I'm sorry, but I'm taken." I say walking fast to my locker and unlocking it. Of course Logan followed me.

"What do you even want Logan." I said.

"I'm hotter than Luke Hemmings right?" He asked. Haha he's funny.

"No. Luke Hemmings is definitely hotter than you. I love Luke Hemmings, not you, so please leave me alone." I say.

"Oh you just got yourself screwed honey. See you tomorrow. You're in for a real treat." He said and with that he walked away.

Oh shit, I should've remembered. The last person who said Logan wasn't hotter than someone killed herself because he was so mean and threatening to her.

I quickly rushed to my next class and sat down.

I don't want to go to school tomorrow but I have to. Luckily it's Thursday, so I only have one more day. I was waiting for the last bell to ring.

Several moments later It rang. I got up as fast as I could out the front doors. Everyone was already crowding the courtyard and I think I could spot Luke's blonde hair from where I was.

I pushed my way through the humongous crowd of people until I finally spotted Luke.

He smiled and started to walk towards me.

I noticed girls were giggling and pointing at him.

All of a sudden, someone's foot stuck out in front of me and tripped me.

I landed on the ground hard and people were laughing at me.

"That's what you deserve sweetheart." Logan says.

Tears were welling in my eyes and I got up and saw Luke charging towards Logan.

Oh shit.

Luke swung at Logan and hit his nose.

Logan cried out in pain and swung back, punching Luke's eye.

"Stop it!" I screamed. I ran up to Luke and pulled at his shirt.

"Luke!" I screamed. He continued to punch Logan.

I asked a nearby boy to help me and he thankfully did.

He grabbed Luke and pulled him off of Logan.

I was sobbing really hard and I was sure my makeup was running.

I ran back to Luke's car and got in quickly.

I held my hand over my mouth to soften my hideous sobs. This is my fault.
