Chapter 4 - I need answers.

I wake up to birds chirping and sunlight shining through the curtained windows. I yawn sitting up, I look around to notice I'm not in my room confusing me. I remain confused for a few minutes until remembering Dreams nightmare incident that took place last night. I look over at the other side of the couch at the view of Dream sleeping peacefully. I smile lightly knowing he was able to fall back asleep.

I wanted to confront Nightmare about the nightmare Drean had last night, I mean Nightmare must have something to do with it... right? If not I'll just go speak with Sci about it.

I get off the couch cautiously as to not wake up Dream and head to my room to get ready for the long day that awaits me.

•Time Skip•

I walk back downstairs to check if Dream had woken up, I turn towards the couch and see him still sleeping. I smile and go to grab a paper to write on for Dream. Once I found one I began writting with a pencil I found in my pant pockets.

'Dear, Dreamy.

I left the house to finish up some things in some AU's. I'll be back soon, so dont worry too much.

Yes, I know I lied about where I was going, but if I had told the truth he would've panicked and tried to stop me, and I didnt want that.

I placed the note on the coffee table knowing he'll see it. I then open a portal to the Anti-void. Maybe Error knows where Nightmare is..

I walk into the portal closing it behind me and begin searching for Error. I look around for a while before seeing his deep blue beanbag and walked up to it to see if he was there, when of course I was wrapped I'm Error familiar blue strings.

"Really, Error?" I groan annoyed, trying to get free of his grasp.

"YeP, wHy aRE yoU HerE, SqUiD?" Coming into view infront of me with his arms crossed almost amused.

"I wanted to ask if you knew where Nightmare was by chance?"

"Hm, WhY sHouLd I TeLl yoU?"He asked, A sly smirk on his face though a hint of sadness and annoyance in his voice.

"Because I need to ask him a few questions about Dream." I respond, pouting giving up on escaping his stupid strings.

He thought for a few seconds before answering.

"FiNe... hE wAs hERe a FeW minUtes AgO, hE sAid hE was goInG to aN AU cALed DreAMtAle?" He answers releasing me from his blue strings grasp.

"Perfect! Thanks, Glitchy. I'll come by later to hang out with you!" I say giving him a wink, yellow begins to cover his face.

"WhAteVer SqUiD... bYe." He says hiding his face in his scarf before walking back to his blue beanbag. I giggle lightly before opening a portal to this Dreamtale AU Error told me Nightmare was.

I go through the portal and find myself in a small and very destroyed village. I cautiously look around before walking along a slightly destroyed stone bricked path. 'Why would Nightmare be here, what if Error lied to me? Whatever, I've never explored this Au before so theres no harm in looking around anyways.' I thought still walking the stone bricked path I found a few minutes before though not as cautiously. My walk was interrupted by the stone brick path ending. I look up to see a tree stump followed my Nightmare sitting peacefully up against it.
