Mermaid/Merman Au

A/N This is a Mermaid/Merman Au. I hope you will enjoy this oneshot! 

Shuichi P.O.V

"Saihara, I'll need you to help with the net!" Captain Momota said

"Y-Yes, sir!" I replied

"Also, there is no need to stutter!" He said while giving me a thumbs up

"Right..."

I walked to the net and started to pull the rope. As I was doing so, I spotted, what seemed like a mermaid, on a rock. I turned around to face our captain. 

"Hey, what's over there?" I asked as I pointed to the rock far ahead

"Hm, what do you mean, Saihara? All I see is a rock." He said

I turned around and saw a plain rock as well. I swear I saw something.

"But I thought I saw someone sitting on it..." I mumbled to myself

Luckily Momota-kun didn't hear what I said.

~Later~

Instead of going straight home I decided to go take a look at the rock I saw earlier. I took off my jacket, shoes, and socks. All I had left on was my shirt and pants. 

As I swam in the water. I spotted something on the rock, it seemed to be a fish-like human. Just as I got closer the creature jumped back into the water. 

I began to swim back to shore. I decided to go check it out again tomorrow. In the meantime I would go home and get some rest.

~The Next Day~

I just got out after work. I'm swimming towards the rock that the anonymous creature was sitting on right now.

Maybe if I go underwater the creature won't notice me. 

So I did, I went underwater. Even though I could barely see anything, it was worth it, just so I could see what this creature is.

I reached the rock and grabbed the creature by the wrist. It tried tugging it's arm away but it  pulled me along with it while it swam instead.

I didn't want to lose this time so I decided to try gripping it on it's wrist with my other hand. I eventually got my hand on the creature's other hand. It felt warm and soft. The creature eventually got tired from dragging my weight around and decided to use it's words instead of the water's force.

"W-Why are u hanging on to me?" It asked

"Because, I wanted to find out who you were, I saw you sitting on that very rock yesterday while I was at work" I pointed to the rock

"So that was you?"

"Yeah."

"How did you see me?"

"What do you mean? I asked

"Not a lot of people notice me, they just think I'm another human sitting on a rock in the middle of the ocean."

"I think I saw your tail. I remember seeing something shine."

"Oh my fin?" He lifted his fin up to show me, it shone
