The sun came up as the sizzling noise from the pan echoed through the kitchen being followed by the little child's makeshift noises. Sensho was busy cooking and Annie was playing by herself on the table, entertained by sandy toys Sensho made.
Akali was the last to wake up and stretched in her bed with a groan. Her mouth can taste the air from what Sensho was cooking forcing her sleep to be overrun by hunger so out she went to the kitchen.
"Good morning everyone," Akali said, still sleepy as she poured herself a glass of water. Sensho replied by looking at her with a smile, a rather amused one at that.
"What?" Akali asked noticing the weird gaze while Annie was too preoccupied by her toys.
"It's nothing, though you do speak a lot when your asleep," Sensho said remembering the event of last night. Akali was doubtful at that, as a ninja, silence is a must especially in their sleep where they are the most vulnerable but it did pique some curiousity.
"Oh? What did I say?" She asked with a smile, eyes still doubtful as she placed her glass down but her other hand rested on her waist.
"Well...you were mumbling my name," Sensho replied giving her a quick wince before looking to what he's frying.
"You kept mumbling, Sensho...no. Then you giggle," Sensho added making Akali blush when it might have happened.
"No, nope I didn't say anything like that," Akali protested the idea. The way Sensho imitated it was weird in it's way when he was basically groaning out the name. Sensho chuckled at the girls reaction as he flipped up the meat he's frying.
"Mmhmm, can you check if we have a match today?" Sensho asked hoping to break away the uncimfy air he built. Akali replied with a few nods as her cheeks blushed.
Annie looked at Akali as she passed and noticed it. She laughed when it found it funny seeing how Akali was all red. Sensho giggled along seeing the glee in that laugh while Akali smile as she rolled her eyes hoping not to ruin the mood.
The moment Akali passed the room, her smile fell into a small frown just by thinking about the child. Hearing what Sensho said was worrying. Akali had to slap the back of her palm the moment she realized how she's doubting about Annie's ability.
'She can control them, she will control them.' Akali thought. She took a deep breath when she got to her bedroom and looked at the screen. They had a match today, an official one at that making her worry transfer to another reason.
Ionia vs. Demacia. Akali clicked her tongue when these two territories have been friendly but she guessed there was no helping it. This wasn't the first, it won't be the last either.
Akali...well...nost of the champions here were friendly with each other even if their countries are against another. But that also had it's downsides when Akali knew she'd be fighting people she may deem as her friends.
"Akali, the foods done so come and eat," Sensho's voice was muffled by the walls but it was a great way for Akali to break away from her thoughts.
"Alright, be there in a sec," She replied and started to fix her bed. It didn't take long and she went back to the kitchen only to see how Annie was fascinated about something. She looked at Sensho and noticed how his sandy tendrils started setting up the table.
Akali sat in front of Annie without anyone breaking their gaze at the sight. Sensho was just busy washing up the pan he used while the tentacles distributed the plates holding their provisions. When all is done, he sat on the middle chair where a tentacle also provided a plate for himself.
Akali also did the same and carefully observed the child, it's not that she's worried but more like her eyes are finally seeing Annie as a normal child. She froze for a moment and kept observing Annie who was raising her fork with a piece of meat on its end. Akali chuckled while Sensho who was observing them smiled. They both ate while making small talks but not about the match, Akali got to know more about Annie's preference on food and games. When the three was done with their meal Sensho used the tentacle to gather the plates so that their would be no disturbance in their conversation.
