Chapter 14: Learning From The Best

[Y/N POV]

Diana: You didn't have to risk coming with me you know.

I managed to catch Diana while she was doing her research into why the stone could have been taken and she found an old agreement between the school and a dragon that no one could translate.

Until she came along.

Turns out the school had been getting scammed into paying money to this dragon and when they missed their most recent payment, he took the stone.

And I really didn't want to miss out on something like this!

Y/N: I had to. I want to help you sis. Just because I'm not that experienced, doesn't mean I can't learn.

Finnelan: Very true. I'm sure we can put more things in place for you Y/N.

Finnelan seemed to be a bit more friendly to me now. Ever since the word got out that I was Diana's brother.

Y/N: Thank you Professor.

Diana: I will take it upon myself to tutor you baby brother. I know how eager you must be to learn, and it is my responsibility to make sure that you don't fall behind.

Y/N: Cool!

I thought about quickly dropping back in to check on Hannah and Barbara, but they have each other, so they should be fine!

Y/N: They did seem quite scared though...

Diana: Is everything alright Y/N?

I snap out of my thoughts when I heard the voice of my sister.

Y/N: Huh? Yeah I'm fine. Why?

Diana: You just zoned out. I thought it might be because-.

Y/N: Of them? No I was just thinking about Hannah and Barbara. Hope they're ok. We've been gone a while now don't you think?

Diana: Yes we have, but they'll be fine! They love you a lot, so when we get back I'd expect you to be flooded with hugs and kisses!

I smile and blush at the thought of that. But for now, I couldn't think about that. We had a job to do!

Y/N: So this whole agreement is a scam right?

Diana: Basically. And because no one could understand the language it was written in, he took advantage of that and lied. He just didn't bargain that someone would understand it one day!

Y/N: That's the only problem with some people. They don't think about what will happen further down the line.

Diana: Indeed.

There wasn't much more time to talk as we arrived at our destination. It was quite evident that something had happened here.

Y/N: Yeah, Akko has definitely been here. Why does she think that she has to do everything?

Finnelan: Didn't you speak to her?

Y/N: I did. I said to her not to get into any more trouble and that I would be keeping an eye on her. The minute I'm not checking in on her, she goes off and does something like this!

I sigh and shake my head.

Y/N: You can ask me to keep an eye on her and make sure she stays out of trouble, but it is impossible! No one can keep that girl out of trouble!

Diana: So it would seem.

Finnelan: We must hurry. We can discuss Miss Kagari later. The headmistress will be needing our help!
