Scrapped Obsession Chapter

It's been a week since you're participation with the exam. And throughout that week, you've been anxious about your performance. Hoping to get into UA. And today was the day you'd get your message from the said high school. The message received was a video of the number one hero, All Might. You watched intently as he continued on with his speech, building up suspense for his final statement at the end of the video. " Congratulations (L/N) (Y/N), you're officially a UA student! We'll be looking forward to have your presence next Monday! ". You jumped immediately out of your seat in astonishment, bringing your hands to your head to ease your excitement. " mom dad! I made it! I'm going to UA! ", you called out as you rushed down stairs fluently. Your parents jumping up from their seat on the couch at your news. " Oh my god (Y/N), that's great! ", your father gave you an obnoxious hug while your mother came in after to give you a hug as well, which was less back breaking.

" so when do you start going to school? ", your mother asked. " I start Monday, they'll be sending my school uniform later today! ". Your father huffed lightly in thought as he put his hands on his hips. " you know what this calls for? ". You and your mother looked at him, awaiting his answer. " a celebration dinner! We'll cook your favorite dish and buy you a cake for desert ". He proudly crossed his arms over his chest, your mother nodding to his idea. " lets get the groceries and cake right now before it's too late. We'll be back (Y/N), unless you want to come with? ". You accepted the invitation and all three of you went to put on your shoes before heading to the grocery store near by.

You all walked through the automatic doors, a cold breeze greeting you as well. In under an hour, your parents grabbed what was needed and headed back home to continue making the meal. You helped bring the groceries to the kitchen counter. " why not invite Midoriya for dinner? You haven't seen him since last week ", mother offered as she started boiling water in a pan. " Oh good idea mom! I'll call him ". You left the kitchen to call Izuku in the living room. The phone rung a few times before finally being picked up, his soft voice coming on after a few seconds of silence.

" Hi (Y/N)! ".

" Hey Izuku, I was wondering if you'd like to come over for dinner? Mom's making tempura udon and we're having strawberry shortcake for desert! Just thought maybe you'd like to come join us ", Izuku's hitched his breath lightly and stuttered. " O-of course I'd like to come, thank you for inviting me I'll be over soon! ", Izuku bashfully accepted the invitation before hanging up. You smiled lightly at his actions before walking back into the kitchen, your father was helping with the food as well. " so is he coming? ", your mother asked. " Mhm! He'll be over soon ".

Dinner was done and Izuku was over. All four of you gathered at the table, talking and eating comfortably. " so Izuku, did you get accepted into UA? ", you look up from your bowl to face him across from you. " Yes actually, I did. What about you? ". Shock was slightly evident at his response but chose not to push any further. You actually haven't seen what his quirk could do yet so you were curious to see how he'll do in school. " I did, I wonder if we'll be in the same class. " " I hope so, it'd be boring without you ", he smiled radiantly towards you. You couldn't help but giggle from his usual self.

" Guess we'll find out on Monday. "
