Prologue

Bakugo had always had a soft spot for you. Which wasn't normal for a boy such as himself. Something about you just seemed special. Maybe it was because how genuinely nice you were towards him despite him being an ass. But whatever it was that made him feel these ways didn't bother him much anymore. It took him some time obviously at first to accept this obscure feeling. He had no way out of getting away from you anyways since your parents were already friends themselves. But then again, he liked being with you. Until the day something came over him that forced your guys parting.

That day was set on a Sunday afternoon. Sky dusted a blue grey and a sun not to be seen behind a vast sea of clouds. Making the day even more memorable with its heavy atmosphere. Bakugou and you both would often hang out at the local playground in the neighborhood playing games or venturing the scenery. Just being ten year old's doing dumb shenanigans together. You sat waiting patiently in the living room for Bakugou to show up. Your ears carefully listening for a knock at the door which was not too far down the hall a few feet away from where you sat. And thus the harsh knock of your friend echoed abruptly through the room. You hoped off the couch and ran towards the door. " bye mom bye dad! I'm off to the park! ",yelling out to your parents while you put your shoes on hastily at the genkan. You didn't stop to wait for their response as you continued on out the door. " Finally, you're so damn slow ", Bakugou greeted you in his own special way. " Katsuki don't cuss! ", You say completely ignoring his insult. Bakugou scoffed at your comment and smirked.

You both headed off towards the park which wasn't too far from your house, chatting as the two of you walked. Half way through the walk, Midoriya had tagged along which caused Bakugou to pout and groan. You and Midoriya were also friends, having met each other through Bakugou at the same park you guys were headed to. You liked Midoriya unlike the pouty kid next to you who would often pick on Midoriya for anything. He especially hated it when Midoriya would try to have any interaction with you but couldn't do much about it. If Bakugou caught Midoriya interacting with you in anyway, he would blow up in a figure of speech. " Don't talk to stupid Deku. He's a quirkless crybaby ", is what he would always tell you. But despite the knowledge of his unworthy grudge against the poor kid, you and Midoriya would still talk to one another. Bakugou would become fidgety and easily irritated if his harsh remarks didn't do any effect to Midoriya. Most likely trying to restrain himself from doing something harmful. Bakugou had noticed recently the way his "rival" has been acting when around you which only made the sirens in his head go off even louder. Midoriya would talk to you a lot more than usual along with twiddling his thumbs and blushing. It was more than obvious that he had a crush on you. The buzzing playground grew larger as you all got closer. A decent amount of kids were out that day. Many of the kids in the neighborhood knew Bakugou, the playground was his territory. He would often take over the main section of the play structure which was always his first destination when he came to the park. You and Midoriya fell behind as Bakugou ran to his usual spot on the roof of the yellow and blue structure.

He stood up with his hands promptly placed on his hips along with his chest puffed out to further enhance his dominance. As Bakugou looked down upon the playground, his eyes immediately landed on both you and Midoriya in which Midoriya was blabbering to you like normal. Bakugou's confident grin faltered to a look of annoyance. You listened to Midoriya ramble on about All Might. You always noticed as well how he would become bashful when around you which you to assumed maybe Midoriya had a crush on you. You weren't sure if your hypothesis was correct or not but it flattered you nonetheless since you also in a way liked him. Your conversation was completely interrupted when a harsh voice broke out between you and the green haired friend next to you. " Oi, aren't you guys going to play or just stand here? ", Bakugou's cold gaze was plastered onto Midoriya rather than you both. " O-oh yeah! I apologize Kacchan, I went rambling off again haha ", Midoriya responded light heartedly while rubbing his shoulder in embarrassment. You chuckled lightly at their interaction yet a bit concerned about Bakugou; noticing how he was looking at Midoriya but chose to not mention anything.
