Keep Me Cool (Todo Oneshot)

(Story was from my BNHA oneshots book but I only made one chapter then discontinued it lol)

The air conditioner stopped working during a ridiculously hot day and you look for your boyfriend, Todoroki, for relief from the heat

Today must have been one of the hottest days during the summer, the temperature being around 105 degrees Fahrenheit. It felt even hotter inside your house which didn't help due to your cooler being broken. Your parents went away on a two-week honeymoon, trusting you to be alone at home. You didn't mind it at all which meant you could do whatever while they weren't here to scold you. As of now, you hunched your back over the armrest of the couch while fanning your face with a makeshift folding fan that was made of printer paper. It didn't help in the slightest. You had your hair up in a bun and a tank top with some shorts to try and help better the chance of surviving the stuffy house.

You begrudgingly listed your sweaty self off the couch to head into the kitchen, you planned on getting a pack of ice to place on your body. You went to open the freezer door of your fridge until a better idea came to mind. Why not invite your boyfriend, Todoroki, over? That seemed way better than using a pack of ice when he could help cool you down even better. A cheeky smile replaced your miserable expression once you wiped out your phone from your front pocket and quickly sent him a message. You used the ice pack anyways as you waited for a response.

You: Hey Todo, are you busy at all?

Todo Shoto <3: No, how come? need anything

You: I was wondering if you could come over and help me with something

Todo Shoto <3: Yeah, I'll be there soon. love you

You: tysm! love you too <333

Your smile grew wider, happy to be able to spend time with him once more. You laid back on the sofa and placed the phone on the coffee table. You help the ice pack to your cheek as you waited, eyes closed enjoying the tingly sensation on your cheek from the ice cubs. They were already beginning to melt. Not too long after, you heard a knock at your door. You jumped up and pranced over to open the door for Todoroki. He too was wearing something basic to help battle the heat although not showing as much skin as yourself since his ice quirk helped. " Hi! come on in ", You happily greeted while stepping to the side so he could come and take his sandals off. You two hugged and gave a quick peck on the lips before walking further into the house and eventually into the living room. " Are your parents home? ", Todoroki asked while taking a seat next to you. " No, they left for a honeymoon. They won't be back for another week. ", You mention casually while propping your head on your hand.

" So what did you need help with ", Todoroki mimicking your same position on the opposite end of the couch. You laughed lightly and smiled at what you were gonna say. " I was wondering if you could help cool me off ", You looked over at your boyfriend, his face going flat at your response. You laughed to yourself once more. Todoroki did notice how the air inside felt thick from the beating heat of the sun. " My cooler broke and I was practically dying and I thought maybe this would be a good bonding moment ", You say again as you lift yourself off your arm. Todoroki faintly smiled and scoffed at your comment. " Didn't think I'd have to help be your personal cooler ", Todoroki remarked.

" But I guess I will this one time ". You glowed with anticipation, wanting nothing more than to be held under his cold arms. Todoroki motioned you towards him in which you gladly obliged. He encased you in his well-toned arms while you cuddled against him, already feeling the subtle activation of his ice quirk. Your head rested comfortably on his shoulder. Todoroki slowly rubbed his hand up and down your arms, feeling sweet relief from the coolness that contrasts your warm skin, giving you goosebumps. His head rested on your own, other hand moving strands of (H/C) out of your face. The tenderness of the moment only making your heart flutter more. " This is nice, we should do this more often ", You softly mention with your eyes still peacefully closed. You listened to his delicate breaths. He was silent for a moment before giving a response. " yeah. I don't mind this really ". Todoroki's smile coming back at the thought.

Your body cooled off instantly after only a few rubs on the shoulder yet you still wanting to hold onto this moment. It's been a hot second since you've done anything like this with your lover. You were almost happy that the air conditioner stopped working if it weren't for the fact you'd have to pay for another one later using the money your parents gave you. " Could you stay the night please ", You pouted, pushing yourself up to look at Todoroki's heterochromia eyes. Todoroki scoffing lightly at your desperation, nodding lightly in response. You lit up for the 100th time that day, Todoroki realizing how much you seemed like a child when around him. You were about to ask if he was going to let his father know but you chose not to, remembering his relationship with his dad. Todoroki probably in another universe wouldn't of let his dad know even if their relationship was healthy.

" Let me just get an extra set of clothes, I'll be back ". You got off of Todoroki to let him get up. " Can I come with you? ", You asked still seated on the couch. " Of course ", Todoroki held out his hand to help you up from your position.
